Maximus | Sabre

Maximus | Sabre is a Terrorist agent of Exceptional rank from the Shattered Web Agents set. By price it sits twentieth of twenty-two, near the bottom of the set.

What the Maximus | Sabre looks like

A stubbled man with a heavy stare, wearing a red plaid cap. The collar of his brown leather jacket is trimmed with pale fur, and a red shirt shows underneath.

Over the jacket he wears a beige vest with large patch pockets on the chest. The look is worn and aviator in spirit: warm brown and beige tones, with red only in the cap and the collar.

Where the Maximus | Sabre came from

Maximus came to the game in the Shattered Web Agents set, released on November 19, 2019, as part of Operation Shattered Web.

Valve describes Maximus as a man driven by a dull rage and an obsession with avenging wrongs, whether big, small or imagined. For the Sabre faction he is the first choice in close combat: in his view a debt must be repaid in blood, however small it is.

What the agent does in game

You can pick Maximus on the Terrorist side only, and the model never appears on the other. Shooting stats and hitboxes stay the same, so in CS2 this is a purely cosmetic choice.

Maximus has no versions, and copies do not differ from one another.

Which gloves go with it

The jacket is brown with fur and the vest is beige. Gloves in earthy shades, brown or sandy, look cohesive next to them.

Cool gray-blue tones give a contrast that reads well even on dark maps. Glossy light gloves and a pattern with bright patches look out of place beside the worn leather.

What the Maximus | Sabre costs

The agent sits twentieth of twenty-two. Buckshot | NSWC SEAL is a quarter higher, Rezan The Ready | Sabre about a sixth higher, and Dragomir | Sabre only slightly higher.

Enforcer | Phoenix is a few percent lower, and Soldier | Phoenix about a tenth lower. By position in the ranking, it is one of the most affordable models in the set.

Who it suits

Buying Maximus for CS2 makes sense if you:

• want a Terrorist agent in warm brown tones that is low in the set's price ranking;

• are collecting the whole Shattered Web Agents set;

• like a worn look in a leather jacket with a fur collar.
