The MP7 | Astrolabe in Factory New (FN) takes only seven hundredths of the float scale, from 0.00 to 0.07. It is Industrial Grade, from The Graphic Design Collection. This wear costs tens of times more than any other wear of the skin.
What the MP7 | Astrolabe looks like in Factory New
The body is subdued: a dull beige base with a bronze-brown cast and gray half-shadows. Over it lies a thin line diagram of straight lines, crossings and small circles at the nodes, like a star map or an instrument blueprint. The lines and circles are dark brown.
The diagram is laid on the side of the receiver and partly on the rail and magazine. The design is sparse, with plenty of empty background between the lines. You can see straight segments fanning out from a few points, tiny circles at the ends and one smooth arc. The foregrip, the magazine and the buttpad are slightly lighter and grayish. No lettering can be made out. Valve's description speaks of a metallic design on a dark base, but on the model the base is light.
Where the MP7 | Astrolabe came from
The Graphic Design Collection was released in October 2024, and the skin has been in the set since launch. Valve's description carries the line "IT'S NOT A CIRCUIT BOARD!"
What to check before buying
- float: between 0.00 and 0.07 the look does not change;
- what the previous owner left on the MP7 | Astrolabe: stickers and an applied name;
- sameness of copies: the diagram sits on the same parts across the whole run.
The MP7 | Astrolabe has no pattern variance: what one listing shows, the rest show too.
What the MP7 | Astrolabe costs in Factory New
On this skin the distance between wears is very large. Minimal Wear costs almost thirty times less than Factory New, while Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred cost almost forty times less.
Of the eight Industrial Grade MP7 skins, five cost less and two cost more. Gunsmoke is only a little dearer, and Vault Heist is cheaper by about a fifth. Two further finishes are cheaper by almost three times and by seventeen times, and Motherboard by more than fifty times. Above it stands Orange Peel, about three times dearer.
Getting the MP7 | Astrolabe
The MP7 | Astrolabe is in no case. A contract cannot make it either: Industrial Grade is the lowest rank of the collection, and no contract leads to it.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The skin has no StatTrak and no Souvenir versions.
Stickers and craft on the MP7 | Astrolabe
The thin diagram leaves a lot of empty background, and stickers show up well on it. Bright and dark stickers read on the dull beige, while beige and gray ones blend in.
Who this wear suits
Buying the MP7 | Astrolabe in Factory New is sensible if:
- you want a CS2 MP7 with a restrained, blueprint-style design;
- you want the top wear specifically and the lower ones will not do;
- you do not need to choose by float, because the band of 0.00 to 0.07 is short.
