MP9 | Hydra (Factory New)

Factory New (FN) of the MP9 | Hydra is the most expensive of the finish's five wears, and the band 0.00 to 0.07 takes 7 percent of the scale. The skin is Classified, from The CS20 Collection, and the submachine gun drops from the CS20 Case.

What the MP9 | Hydra looks like in Factory New

The finish is acid green, and in CS2 the black branching lines catch the eye at once. They wind over the top of the body like tentacles or vines, and the word HYDRA reads on the receiver. The magazine is translucent green, and the grip has textured cells that look like scales. The grip, stock and small parts are dark gray, while the green holds on the receiver, the trigger guard and the magazine.

Factory New means the paint reaches every edge and every cell of the grip with no scuffs. Wear is fixed at the drop and never changes, so a listing with a float of 0.01 stays that way forever.

What to check before buying

From listing to listing, the MP9 | Hydra varies in the following:

• float: in this wear the MP9 | Hydra has a narrow band of 0.00 to 0.07, and copies barely differ from one another;

• the name tag and stickers this MP9 | Hydra already carries;

• the pattern index changes nothing on the MP9 | Hydra.

What the MP9 | Hydra costs in Factory New

No other wear of the MP9 | Hydra costs as much as this one. Minimal Wear is cheaper by a factor of 3.2, Field-Tested by 7.1, Battle-Scarred by 8.5 and Well-Worn by 8.7. The top wear stands well apart, and the lower three share one price corridor: Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred differ by two percent.

Among Classified MP9 skins with a price in this wear, the finish is third of five. Airlock and Food Chain are cheaper, Latte Rush is dearer by a fifth, and Wild Lily by tens of times.

Getting the MP9 | Hydra

The skin drops from the CS20 Case, and The CS20 Collection came out in October 2019. A trade-up for the MP9 | Hydra takes ten Restricted skins, which may come from any collections, and the result comes from the collection of one of the inputs. Ten from The CS20 Collection is the player's choice, steering the result to that set.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The MP9 | Hydra has a StatTrak version, and the finish has no souvenir packages.

Stickers and craft on the MP9 | Hydra

The acid-green body is a bright backdrop: black and white stickers stand out, while yellow and green ones merge with the base. The dark lines across the top leave little free room, so stickers are easier to put on the side.

Who this wear suits

Factory New on the MP9 | Hydra is sensible if:

• you want a green submachine gun with black lines and no scuffs on the grip;

• the top wear matters to you, even though the finish sits mid-row among Classified MP9 skins;

• the band of 0.00 to 0.07 is short, so every listing looks the same.
