Nova | Ocular in Factory New (FN): a pump-action CS2 shotgun covered in repeating stylized eyes. Restricted rank. The skin belongs to The Genesis Collection and comes out of the Sealed Genesis Terminal. The finish's float runs from 0.00 to 1.00, and Factory New takes 7% of that scale. This wear of the Nova | Ocular lies between 0.00 and 0.07.
What the Nova | Ocular looks like in Factory New
Beneath it all is a deep blue shading to teal, with patches of cream and beige laid over it and edged in rusty orange lines. The eyes themselves are pale gray with a dark pupil, and they repeat across the receiver and the stock. The barrel is dark, and the forend is covered in cream and teal arcs.
In Factory New the lines and patches read with no scuffing, and the individual eyes are easy to tell apart. Wear was determined at the drop and does not change after.
Where the Nova | Ocular came from
Kattys drew this finish. The work appeared in the Steam Workshop on February 19, 2025, under the title "Nova | Ocular (blue)". The author calls it a modern design that borrows from abstract surrealism and from twentieth-century artists. Simple geometric shapes are set beside realistic details, such as expressive eyes and an ear. In Valve's catalog the finish is listed under number 1350.
The Genesis Collection was released on September 16, 2025, and the Nova | Ocular has belonged to it since launch. Valve's note says the collection takes in 17 finishes by community authors.
What to check before buying
Before buying the Nova | Ocular, a few points are worth checking:
- float: the 0.00 to 0.07 stretch is short, and there is almost nothing to pick a best copy from;
- applied name and stickers: on the Nova | Ocular they stay with the listing;
- the wear in the listing title: below Factory New the price falls several times over.
Copies of the Nova | Ocular differ only in wear, and the artwork is shared. At 0.00 to 0.07 the spread is so small that the gap between two listings disappears into the error of measurement.
What the Nova | Ocular costs in Factory New
Factory New is the most expensive wear of the finish. Minimal Wear is 2.75 times cheaper, Field-Tested 5.56 times, Well-Worn 6.14 times and Battle-Scarred 8.17 times.
Within the Restricted Nova lineup, the Ocular sits low in Factory New: only Wild Six, Koi and Rising Sun are cheaper. Gila and Rising Skull cost about twice as much. Sobek's Bite, Clear Polymer and Baroque Orange stand highest.
Getting the Nova | Ocular
The Nova | Ocular sits in the Sealed Genesis Terminal, and the skin has no case. A trade-up contract for the Nova | Ocular is made of ten skins from the tier below, and any collection will do. The result comes from the collection of one of the inputs, so the ten are kept to the Genesis Collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Nova | Ocular has a StatTrak™ version. No Souvenir packages were issued for this finish, because they were made only for the tournament map collections. But you can make a Souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts golden tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory. So single Souvenir copies turn up now and then even where no packages ever existed.
Stickers and craft on the Nova | Ocular
The artwork is dense, and small stickers blend into the lines. Light, solid-color stickers work better, since they do not argue with the cream patches and the teal ground.
Who this wear suits
Factory New is a reasonable buy for the Nova | Ocular in these cases:
- you want a shotgun with untouched eyes and clean lines;
- your CS2 loadout is built on a blue-teal palette with cream accents;
- the artwork matters more than fractions of float: inside 0.00 to 0.07 the listings barely differ.
