What the P2000 | Amber Fade looks like in Factory New

At the muzzle the metal is dark olive with a greenish cast. Toward the middle of the slide it turns golden amber, and at the rear of the slide and on the grip it fades to reddish brown. The top of the slide is the most golden, while the frame and grip are darker. The magazine base is gray.

The surface is mirror-polished, with the standard serrations on the slide and the vertical grooves on the grip. There are no patterns or lettering. Wear is set when the skin drops. In Factory New the transition is smooth and shows no scuffing.

The Dust 2 Collection, which holds the skin, is named after the map of the same name. Valve describes the skin as airbrush work: transparent paints blending over a chrome base.
