This is the P250 | X-Ray in Field-Tested (FT), the most worn of the skin's three wears and the only one with a trimmed band. It is Restricted rank, and the skin belongs to The X-Ray Collection, which has no other skin in it. The three wears are Factory New, Minimal Wear and Field-Tested.
What the P250 | X-Ray looks like in Field-Tested
In Valve's wording, this is a custom paint job with the P250's insides drawn on it, as if on an X-ray. The float band for this wear lies between 0.15 and 0.30.
A standard Field-Tested tops out at 0.38, but this skin's float ceiling is 0.30, so the band is cut off at the top. It covers half the scale, and each copy's wear is fixed when it drops.
Where the P250 | X-Ray came from
The skin is part of the X-Ray P250 Package, which by Valve's description contains the only painted P250 with its internals shown. A finish with the same name and the same X-ray treatment exists on an AK-47 from The Havoc Collection.
What to check before buying
Here is what to compare on a P250 | X-Ray listing before paying:
- the float: anything from 0.15 to 0.30 is possible, and a listing nearer 0.15 looks cleaner;
- the name tag and stickers this P250 | X-Ray already wears;
- the item version: the skin has StatTrak, and such a listing is sold separately.
There is no choosing the P250 | X-Ray by pattern, since it is identical on every listing.
What the P250 | X-Ray costs in Field-Tested
- Factory New costs 1.79 times as much;
- Minimal Wear costs 1.24 times as much.
In the line of Restricted P250s this skin is the cheapest in this wear. Cyber Shell, the closest to it, costs about a fifth more, and Inferno about one and a half times as much.
Getting the P250 | X-Ray
The skin's source is the X-Ray P250 Package. A trade-up cannot assemble it, because the collection has no ranks below Restricted.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Who this wear suits
The P250 | X-Ray has a StatTrak™ version. No Souvenir packages were released for this finish: they were made only for the map collections of tournaments. But you can build a Souvenir copy yourself. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory. That is why single Souvenir copies occasionally turn up even where packages never existed.
Buying the P250 | X-Ray in Field-Tested makes sense in these cases:
- you want the most worn P250 | X-Ray, since the skin has no wear below this one;
- you want a P250 for CS2 and are weighing the price against Factory New, which costs 1.79 times as much;
- you shop by float: a band from 0.15 to 0.30 is long enough to compare copies.
