This is the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon in Battle-Scarred (BS), the most worn wear of the finish. It occupies the band from 0.45 to 1.00, more than half of the skin's scale. Restricted by rank, it belongs to The Revolution Collection.

What the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon looks like in Battle-Scarred

The finish is kept in the yellow of a ripe banana, and Valve says exactly that in its description. The barrel, frame and grip are painted yellow, in places the tone slides into ochre, and brown smudges of grime are scattered across the paint. The cylinder and rail are left as dark metal. Blue-and-white labels are stuck on the grip and by the cylinder, and lettering with numbers reads on the barrel.

In Battle-Scarred, wear eats the yellow at the grip corners and the frame edge, but on top of grime that is already drawn it is nearly impossible to see. Wear is fixed at drop: a copy does not change over time.

Where the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon came from

The finish was made by a Workshop player who signs as "123", and in Valve's catalog the skin is number 1232. It went into the Revolution Case. In its release note Valve described that case as a set of 17 finishes by community authors, with the gloves from the Clutch Case as its rare special items. The R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon came out on February 10, 2023, together with The Revolution Collection.

What to check before buying

When choosing an R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon, pay attention to:

• float: the band of 0.45 to 1.00 is wide, and listings at its edges differ visibly;


• the state of the frame edges and grip corners;


• whatever the previous owner stuck or typed onto the revolver: stickers and a name tag.

Only three Restricted R8 Revolvers are priced in this wear, and the Banana Cannon is the cheapest of them. Crazy 8 costs one and a half times as much, and Reboot almost four times.

Getting the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon

The skin falls from the Revolution Case. A trade-up into it takes ten Mil-Spec skins from any sets, and the outcome is chosen among the collections of the inputs. Ten Revolution skins are not required, but they are what steer the result to this set.

StatTrak and Souvenir

A StatTrak version of the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon exists. The finish has no Souvenir packages.

Stickers and craft on the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon

The yellow base with brown grime and blue labels holds cool-toned stickers well: blue and white ones continue the labels, and dark ones read better on the yellow. The cylinder stays dark metal.

Who this wear suits

Battle-Scarred is worth buying on the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon under these conditions:

• you want the banana-crate artwork at the lowest price of the finish;


• paint with drawn grime suits you, and scuffs on it are barely visible anyway;


• a wide float band matters, so that a copy can be picked by number.

In CS2 the wear sets only the look, and it has no effect on how the revolver handles.
