Description

On the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon in Field-Tested (FT) the grime across the body is painted on, not worn in. The grade covers the float band from 0.15 to 0.38. The rank is Restricted, and the revolver drops from the Revolution Case.

What the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon looks like in Field-Tested

Frame, barrel and grip are flooded yellow that shades toward ochre in places, while the cylinder and the top rail stay dark metal. Blue labels with a white icon sit on the grip and beside the cylinder, and lettering with numbers runs along the barrel. Brown blotches are scattered over the yellow: the print of a battered crate, not wear on the paint.

In Field-Tested the yellow lightens on the corners of the grip and along the edge of the frame. Against the painted grime those patches almost vanish, so the grade is not easy to read at a glance. Copies between 0.15 and 0.38 still look meaningfully different from one another.

Where the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon came from

The Revolution Collection arrived on February 10, 2023. Authorship of this one belongs to a creator working under the nickname 123, and Valve's catalog files the artwork as number 1232. A Valve note of the same day introduced the set: seventeen finishes by community authors, with gloves from The Clutch Collection as the case's rare items.

What to check before buying

Picking a listing comes down to a few points:

  • the float inside 0.15 to 0.38, since near the lower bound the grip corners are still evenly yellow;

  • the state of the blue labels by the cylinder, as fine graphics give way before a solid fill;

  • stickers already on the body and a rename, if the revolver carries one.

No second pattern exists for this finish, so the whole choice reduces to the float number.

What the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon costs in Field-Tested

Factory New is asked almost six times over. Minimal Wear costs about two thirds more. Downward the gaps all but close: Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred both come in about a fifth cheaper. At the bottom of the scale a couple of random listings reshuffle the order, not the look of the revolver.

The revolver has only three Restricted finishes, and this one is the cheapest of them. R8 Revolver | Crazy 8 asks nearly the same, while R8 Revolver | Reboot runs close to four times higher.

Getting the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon

The Revolution Case is where the revolver drops from, and no other set ever carried the finish.

The route without buying is a contract. Ten skins one rank down go in. The set holds five Restricted finishes, so if all ten come from it, the output is random at one in five.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon

The R8 Revolver | Banana Cannon has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever made for this finish, because packages only ever covered tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory. That is why the odd souvenir copy turns up where no package was ever made.

A yellow fill takes almost any color except yellow and orange, which sink into the base. Flat room is scarce: the frame behind the cylinder and the lower grip are the two usable spots. Painted grime argues with tidy tournament stickers, while street graphics sit beside it comfortably.

Who this wear suits

Field-Tested is the sensible pick on this revolver when:

  • a loud CS2 sidearm is wanted for the price of a few cents;

  • painted grime appeals more than an even coat of paint;

  • how the individual copy looks counts for more than the label under it.

The step down to Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred costs cents either way, so in CS2 the picture in the listing decides, not the name of the grade.
