The SG 553 | Dragon Tech in Minimal Wear (MW) lies on a float band of 0.07 to 0.15. It is a Restricted skin from the Recoil Case, and on this Terrorist-side SG 553 in CS2 it covers the rifle with a biomechanical green dragon.
What the SG 553 | Dragon Tech looks like in Minimal Wear
The whole rifle is toxic green, with the long, serpentine body of a dragon showing in the artwork against a dark technical texture. The shadows of the pattern are gray and black. A thin red-orange stripe runs along the handguard, and the muzzle edge and the scope eyepiece glow turquoise.
Green covers the receiver, handguard, magazine, grip, stock and scope housing. The barrel and muzzle stay dark. In the middle of the receiver you can pick out a head with curls and a scaly band running toward the stock, and no fine lettering can be made out.
In Minimal Wear the green layer is rubbed down to dark metal in narrow strips along the edges of the handguard and the rail. The wear is fixed at drop and does not grow.
Where the SG 553 | Dragon Tech came from
The skin came out on July 4, 2022, together with the Recoil Case. It holds seventeen skins by Workshop authors, and Broken Fang Gloves are among its rare items. Valve writes of the skin: a custom paint job with a biomechanical green dragon. The caption reads "That's not my dragon…".
What to check before buying
Before taking an SG 553 | Dragon Tech, look at these points:
- float: the band is 0.07 to 0.15, and the look hardly changes within it;
- the artwork is the same on every copy, and there are no rare examples;
- stickers and a name tag that the SG 553 | Dragon Tech inherited from a previous owner.
What the SG 553 | Dragon Tech costs in Minimal Wear
Factory New costs 1.99 times as much. Field-Tested is cheaper by a factor of 1.85, Well-Worn by 1.15 and Battle-Scarred by 2.03.
Among Restricted SG 553 skins this one is the cheapest in the wear. The nearest, Phantom and Darkwing, cost about 70 and 90 percent more. Triarch costs more than double, and Tiger Moth three and a half times as much. Pulse costs eight times as much, and Bulldozer sits out of all proportion higher.
Getting the SG 553 | Dragon Tech
The skin drops from the Recoil Case. In a trade-up contract, ten skins one rank lower from this collection turn into the SG 553 | Dragon Tech.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The skin has a StatTrak™ version and no Souvenir version.
Stickers and craft on the SG 553 | Dragon Tech
A green rifle with a red-orange stripe on the handguard tolerates busy stickers poorly. Dark and turquoise ones work more calmly, echoing the glow of the optics. The patches of bare dark metal near the barrel leave empty room for a sticker.
Who this wear suits
Buying the SG 553 | Dragon Tech in this wear makes sense if:
- you want a unified green rifle with a dragon, not Factory New at double the price;
- visible edge wear is acceptable within the band of 0.07 to 0.15;
- it matters that a StatTrak™ version exists, so the copy can go under a counter.
