Description

Well-Worn (WW) on the StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Blue Ply is a narrow float band from 0.38 to 0.45 and a kill counter on the Deagle. It is a Mil-Spec skin from The Prisma 2 Collection, found in the Prisma 2 Case. The StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Blue Ply comes in all five wears.

What the StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Blue Ply looks like in Well-Worn

The slide looks like a cross-section of laminated plywood. Closed, layered contours run across it, like growth rings on a stump. The slide is dark blue and inky, with bright blue and light-blue veins. The front of the frame is blue with a vertical striped texture, and so is the trigger guard.

The grip is the opposite: a light gray-beige, like unpainted wood, with dark grain. That is the model's boldest change of color. Up close you can make out concentric ovals and "knots" on the slide and lengthwise grain on the grip. There is no lettering. Valve describes the skin as laminated, with an ash grip and a blue slide. Wear is fixed at drop, and in Well-Worn it falls between 0.38 and 0.45.

Where the StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Blue Ply came from

The Prisma 2 Collection came out on March 31, 2020, and the StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Blue Ply arrived in the same update. Valve's note for that update lists the Prisma 2 Collection.

What to check before buying

On a listing of the StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Blue Ply, these points matter:

  • float: the band for this skin is 0.38 to 0.45;

  • the StatTrak reading: it passes to the buyer as it stands and cannot be reset;

  • stickers and a name tag already on this particular StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Blue Ply.

Choosing by pattern is not an option here, as every listing shows the same one. Inside 0.38 to 0.45 there is no better copy to hunt for.

What the StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Blue Ply costs in Well-Worn

In Well-Worn the StatTrak version costs about twice the regular one. Across wears, the StatTrak version is spread like this:

  • Factory New costs ten and a half times more;

  • Minimal Wear costs 2.7 times more;

  • Field-Tested costs a fifth more;

  • Battle-Scarred costs the same.

Among the five StatTrak Mil-Spec Desert Eagles, this skin is third by price. Above it, Desert Eagle | Corinthian costs about three and a half times more, and Desert Eagle | Oxide Blaze about a quarter more. Below it, Desert Eagle | Bronze Deco is a seventh cheaper, and Desert Eagle | Calligraffiti is cheaper too.

Getting the StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Blue Ply

The StatTrak version drops from the Prisma 2 Case. A trade-up into it takes ten StatTrak skins, and the game does not let you mix them with regular ones.

StatTrak and Souvenir

This page covers the StatTrak version. If you do not need the counter, the Desert Eagle | Blue Ply also exists in a regular version, which in Well-Worn costs about half as much. No Souvenir Packages contain this skin.

Stickers and craft on the StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Blue Ply

The dark blue slide holds light and white stickers well. Blue stickers get lost beside the bright blue veins. The light grip gives a contrasting background for dark stickers, but the layered pattern on the slide is best left open: it is the main detail of the skin.

Who this wear suits

The StatTrak™ Desert Eagle | Blue Ply in Well-Worn makes sense when:

  • you want a kill counter on a Deagle with an unusual layered pattern;

  • it matters that Battle-Scarred costs the same, while Field-Tested is only a fifth more;

  • you are putting together a set of StatTrak skins from The Prisma 2 Collection.
