StatTrak™ Glock-18 | Wraiths (Field-Tested)

The StatTrak™ Glock-18 | Wraiths in Field-Tested (FT) has a float of 0.15 to 0.38. It is a Mil-Spec Glock from the Shadow collection, and in this wear the kill-counter version costs almost twice as much as the regular one.

What the StatTrak™ Glock-18 | Wraiths looks like in Field-Tested

The slide is covered edge to edge in deep relief engraving: feathers and waves, and in their curls elongated faces with open mouths. The color is monochrome: a warm gray-brown, bronze metal with dark recesses in the engraving and pale highlights on the ridges.

The engraving fills the whole side and top of the slide along its length. The frame is a matte gray-beige with a grainy texture. The frame, trigger guard and grip are smooth and carry no artwork. Up close, profiles with sunken eye sockets can be made out in the waves, three or four per side. A small inscription and a logo in a circle sit on the frame, and the text is not legible.

In Field-Tested the raised ridges of the engraving are rubbed down to light metal, while a dark film remains in the recesses.

Where the StatTrak™ Glock-18 | Wraiths came from

The skin was made by an author under the name Gaunt. In Valve's catalog it carries number 495, and it came out in September 2015 together with the Shadow Case. Valve describes it as lost souls drawn on the slide, with the line "first it pierces the veil, then it pierces the shadow".

What to check before buying

When choosing a StatTrak™ Glock-18 | Wraiths, pay attention to the following:

• the kill counter: the number passes to the buyer as it stands, and it cannot be reset;


• float: the 0.15 to 0.38 band is wide, and on the relief engraving the ends of the stretch can be told apart;


• stickers and a name tag that the StatTrak™ Glock-18 | Wraiths inherited from a previous owner.

Getting the StatTrak™ Glock-18 | Wraiths

The skin drops from the Shadow Case. A StatTrak version comes out of a contract only if all the inputs are StatTrak too: the game does not let you mix regular and StatTrak skins.

StatTrak and Souvenir

If you do not need the kill counter, the regular Glock-18 | Wraiths has its own page. That version is noticeably cheaper, and its pattern and wears are the same. The skin has no Souvenir packages.

Stickers and craft on the StatTrak™ Glock-18 | Wraiths

The relief slide is busy enough already, and in CS2 a sticker on it lies across uneven engraving. The smooth frame, guard and grip are free of artwork, and that is where a sticker reads cleanly. The StatTrak counter stays in its place whatever the stickers.

Who this wear suits

Field-Tested is worth buying on the StatTrak™ Glock-18 | Wraiths under these conditions:

• you want a CS2 Glock with a kill counter and relief engraving on the slide;


• you prefer ridges rubbed down to light metal over untouched engraving;


• the number on the listing's counter suits you, and paying twice the regular version does not bother you.
