The StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback in Field-Tested (FT) is a suppressed USP-S painted by hand, with a kill counter on top. It is Restricted rank, belongs to The Danger Zone Collection and drops from the Danger Zone Case. For CS2, it sells at roughly 2.4 times the price of the regular version.
What the StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback looks like in Field-Tested
The base is murky green and brown, as if a soldier had painted it in the barracks. The lettering is white and light gray. A large "SHHH!" runs the length of the suppressor, "BORN TO CLUTCH" is written on the dark slide plate, and the grip carries a round peace sign in yellow-sand. Small text sits beside it.
The paint looks rubbed, with blotches and streaks across the whole surface. In Field-Tested that works in the design's favor: the hand-painted feel is stronger than on the cleaner wears.
Where the StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback came from
The StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback was released on December 7, 2018, together with the Danger Zone Case. Valve's note on the "Welcome to the Danger Zone" update says the case holds seventeen skins designed by the community. Valve's own description says the pistol is painted by hand to hint at the duality of man.
What to check before buying
Three things change from listing to listing on the StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback:
- counter reading: the kill count transfers with the listing, and there is no way to reset it;
- float: the wear band runs from 0.15 to 0.38, and the camouflage shows noticeably more blotches toward the upper limit;
- name tag and stickers already carried by this StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback.
The StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback has no pattern variants, so there is nothing to choose by there. Both 0.15 and 0.38 fit inside this wear, and those listings look different.
What the StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback costs in Field-Tested
Against the regular version in this wear, the premium for the counter is about 2.4 times. Within the StatTrak version, the wears compare like this:
- Factory New costs exactly three times as much;
- Minimal Wear costs about 1.8 times as much;
- Well-Worn costs about 1.8 times as much;
- Battle-Scarred costs about 2.7 times as much.
Among Restricted USP-S pistols with a counter, this skin is fifth of six in ascending order: only USP-S | Ticket to Hell sits lower. USP-S | Cyrex, USP-S | Guardian, USP-S | Overgrowth and USP-S | Dark Water cost more, and the last stands orders of magnitude above the rest.
Getting the StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback
The counter version comes from the same Danger Zone Case as the regular one. It has no case of its own.
A trade-up works only if all ten inputs are StatTrak: the game does not let regular and StatTrak skins mix.
StatTrak and Souvenir
If you do not need the counter, the USP-S | Flashback without it is sold as a separate item and is noticeably cheaper in this wear. There are no Souvenir packages for the skin.
Stickers and craft on the StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback
The body is busy with lettering and blotches, and smooth empty spots are few. The cleanest areas are the frame under the slide and the lower part of the suppressor. Choose a sticker for a counter skin with care: the reading cannot be reset, and a removed sticker leaves a scratch.
Who this wear suits
The StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback in Field-Tested is worth buying in these cases:
- you want a kill counter on a hand-painted USP-S, and a premium of more than double does not bother you;
- the artwork matters more than factory cleanliness, and Factory New costs three times as much;
- you want a copy picked by float within the wide band of 0.15 to 0.38.
