Tec-9 | Decimator (Battle-Scarred)

The Tec-9 | Decimator in Battle-Scarred (BS) carries a float from 0.45 to 0.75. The 0.75 ceiling is also where the finish's whole wear scale ends, so no more worn copy exists. It is a Classified skin from The Shattered Web Collection and drops from the Shattered Web Case.

What the Tec-9 | Decimator looks like in Battle-Scarred

This is a neon skin in pink, purple and light blue. Round slots perforate the raspberry shroud around the barrel, the slide is dark with a light blue edge, and the receiver is gray, drawn over with thin light blue lines. The magazine and grip are dark and covered in a mesh of light blue and pink facets, like a polygon model, with a pink wash along the bottom. Valve's text speaks of bright light blue and pink accents.

Wear is fixed at drop and never changes afterward. Against such a dark base, scuffs in the upper part of the 0.45 to 0.75 band show more than they do near its lower edge.

Where the Tec-9 | Decimator came from

There is no data on the finish's author or a Workshop submission. What is known: the skin sits in The Shattered Web Collection, which Valve released on November 19, 2019, together with the operation of the same name. The update note mentions four new knives that come out of the case.

What to check before buying

Choosing a particular Tec-9 | Decimator comes down to three points:

• float: the 0.45 to 0.75 band is wide, so the number matters more than the wear label;

• stickers and a name tag left on the Tec-9 | Decimator by a previous owner;

• version: a StatTrak copy is listed as its own item.

The artwork is identical on every copy, and there are no rare pattern variants.

What the Tec-9 | Decimator costs in Battle-Scarred

Set against Battle-Scarred, the other wears price out like this:

• Field-Tested sits level, within three percent;

• Well-Worn costs 1.3 times as much;

• Minimal Wear costs 2.1 times as much;

• Factory New costs 5.5 times as much.

There are only three Classified Tec-9s. In this wear the Tec-9 | Decimator is the most expensive of them. The Tec-9 | Fuel Injector is cheaper by about a quarter, and the Tec-9 | Remote Control by several times.

Getting the Tec-9 | Decimator

The Shattered Web Case is where this skin comes from directly. A trade-up is the other route, using ten skins one rank down. Among the Shattered Web ones are AK-47 | Rat Rod and AUG | Arctic Wolf. If you assemble the ten from this collection, it holds three Classified skins, and the chance of landing this one is one in three.

StatTrak and Souvenir

A StatTrak version of the Tec-9 | Decimator exists. No Souvenir packages were ever issued for it.

Stickers and craft on the Tec-9 | Decimator

The artwork is busy: the mesh and lines cover the magazine and the shroud, and a sticker gets lost there. It reads most clearly on the gray receiver. White and light blue stickers fit the cool palette, while multicolored ones fight the neon lines.

Who this wear suits

Battle-Scarred is the right pick for the Tec-9 | Decimator if:

• you want a neon Tec-9 for CS2 at the lowest price of the five wears;

• Field-Tested costs the same, while the wear on a BS copy is more visible, so you can choose by the listing itself;

• you need a Terrorist-side pistol whose bright palette still shows.
