This is the Tec-9 | Garter-9 in Minimal Wear (MW), and it looks like an army-green pistol with a mesh on the shroud. The Industrial Grade skin from The Boreal Collection comes with a float from 0.07 to 0.15, and it has never dropped from cases.
What the Tec-9 | Garter-9 looks like in Minimal Wear
The body is an even olive green, khaki. On the perforated shroud and the narrow top rail lies a light green mesh of fine cells, like a stocking. The cells are diamond-shaped, light green on dark green.
The mesh is only on the front shroud and the top strip. The frame, grip and trigger guard are plain khaki, and the magazine is not painted at all: bare light metal. The shroud holes are real, and the dark barrel is visible inside.
The wear of Minimal Wear gathers at the muzzle and along the edges of the shroud holes. The paint is rubbed down to light metal there, and on the light magazine those places read especially clearly.
Where the Tec-9 | Garter-9 came from
The skin's birth date is March 31, 2025, the day The Boreal Collection came out. That day Valve added three new collections to the weekly reward list: Ascent, Boreal and Radiant.
What to check before buying
What to compare when choosing a Tec-9 | Garter-9:
- float: within 0.07 to 0.15 the light green mesh looks the same on any listing;
- a name tag and stickers the Tec-9 | Garter-9 already carries.
The pattern on the Tec-9 | Garter-9 is one for all copies, so there is no particular one to look for.
What the Tec-9 | Garter-9 costs in Minimal Wear
For this skin the price hardly changes between wears. Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred cost about the same as Minimal Wear, with a difference of under three percent.
Among the nine Industrial Grade Tec-9 skins, this one lies in the low-price group: four are cheaper and four are more expensive. Next to it stand the Tec-9 | Perimeter and the Tec-9 | VariCamo. The priciest are the Tec-9 | Orange Murano, Tec-9 | Rust Leaf and Tec-9 | Hades.
Getting the Tec-9 | Garter-9
The skin never dropped from cases, but the collection is on Valve's weekly reward list. You can also get the Tec-9 | Garter-9 by trade-up: it takes ten skins one rank lower from this collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Tec-9 | Garter-9 has no StatTrak version and no ready-made souvenir packages. A Souvenir copy can be built through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the Tec-9 | Garter-9
The even green frame and grip leave room for stickers in CS2, and the contrasting bare magazine draws the eye. Light stickers read better on khaki. The mesh on the shroud is fine, so it is better not to put complex compositions over it.
Who this wear suits
Buying the Tec-9 | Garter-9 in Minimal Wear makes sense for these reasons:
- you want a green Tec-9 for CS2 at the lowest price;
- a neat mesh on the shroud and a narrow float band matter;
- you do not need a price gap between wears: they all cost about the same.
