The Tec-9 | Ossified in Factory New (FN) runs from 0.00 to 0.07, and the skin has only two wears in all: FN and Minimal Wear (MW). The finish's scale ends at 0.08, so FN takes 88% of it. It is a Mil-Spec skin from The Aztec Collection, with no regular case.
What the Tec-9 | Ossified looks like in Factory New
The name suggests bones, but there are no bone motifs on the skin. It is an olive-green Tec-9 with dark swirls. The perforated shroud and the top of the receiver are rich green, with dark-green swirls and gloss. The frame and the grip are gray plastic, and the magazine is bare light metal.
Green covers only the shroud and the top of the receiver. The whole lower part, the guard and the magazine stay factory, without color. The shroud's holes are real, and a black barrel shows inside. The pattern is blurred blotches, with no bones or skulls. Valve describes the finish as a translucent lime abstract hydrographic pattern over a metal base. Wear on such a skin shows at the shroud's edge near the muzzle, where the paint is worn back to light metal.
Where the Tec-9 | Ossified came from
The Aztec Collection opened in the game in August 2013, and the Tec-9 | Ossified was in it from day one.
What to check before buying
On a Tec-9 | Ossified listing, buyers check these parameters:
- float: within 0.00 to 0.07 the difference between listings is minimal;
- any name tag or stickers already applied to the copy.
In this wear the Tec-9 | Ossified is a tight band of 0.00 to 0.07, where a difference between listings is hard to catch.
What the Tec-9 | Ossified costs in Factory New
The skin's second wear, Minimal Wear, is dearer by about a fifth. The reason is the narrow band: it spans only 0.07 to 0.08 on the scale, while FN takes almost all of it.
Among the eighteen Mil-Spec Tec-9 skins, this one lies in the middle of the row: eight cost less, nine cost more. Safety Net and Mummy's Rot are slightly dearer, while Jambiya, Blast From the Past and Snek-9 are cheaper. Highest stand Blue Titanium, Brass and Terrace, and lowest Rebel, Slag and Ice Cap.
Getting the Tec-9 | Ossified
The Tec-9 | Ossified never got into cases. The alternative to buying is a trade-up: ten skins of the rank below, from the same set, yield the Tec-9 | Ossified.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Tec-9 | Ossified has no StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages carry it either, but a Souvenir copy can be built through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the Tec-9 | Ossified
The color is concentrated on the shroud, while the frame and the grip are gray, so stickers on the lower part show clearly. On the green shroud, light stickers read better than green and dark ones. The perforated shroud is not the best spot for small lettering.
Who this wear suits
Factory New on the Tec-9 | Ossified makes sense if:
- you want a Tec-9 for CS2 with a green shroud, without chips or worn paint;
- the band of 0.00 to 0.07 is short, and the olive swirls look the same on every listing;
- you like a finish with color only on the upper part, while the lower part of the weapon stays factory.
