Description

This is the Tec-9 | Sultan in Factory New (FN), and for a mosaic finish that matters a great deal. The gold setting of the tiles is intact along the full length of the shroud. The wear band is 0.00 to 0.07. It is Mil-Spec rank; the pistol is part of The Arabesque Collection, and in CS2 this set was handed out without a case. The Arabesque Collection with this skin came out on July 8, 2026.

What the Tec-9 | Sultan looks like in Factory New

The body is finished like an enamel mosaic: teal, cobalt-blue and white tiles sit in a gold setting. The tile covers the barrel shroud, body, grip and magazine solidly, and gold lines divide it into segments. No bare metal shows on the pistol. Round white medallions with a floral ornament are laid out on the side and on the grip, and on the magazine the tiles are gathered into diamonds. The shroud holes are outlined in gold, and every tile reads individually.

On this finish the gold frames on the raised parts wear first, and in Factory New they are untouched. The tiles on the shroud edge and the grip corners hold their original color, and the ornament in the medallions is visible in full. Toward the upper limit of the wear the gold on the most raised spots starts to lighten, but the mosaic itself never breaks anywhere.

Where the Tec-9 | Sultan came from

The finish's author is a Steam Workshop artist who goes by apel8. In the Valve catalog it is number 1462. Valve explained the origin of the set directly in an update note: Arabesque and Spy Tech were assembled from an open call to the community, which artists answered.

What to check before buying

Before taking a Tec-9 | Sultan, look at these points:

  • the float within 0.00 to 0.07: the closer to zero, the brighter the gold setting;

  • the condition of the gold lines on the raised parts of the body, which give way sooner than the tiles themselves;

  • what the previous owner left on the Tec-9 | Sultan: stickers and a name tag.

The pattern on the Tec-9 | Sultan is not a lottery, and all copies are identical. In this wear it is a tight 0.00 to 0.07 band, where the difference between listings is hard to catch.

What the Tec-9 | Sultan costs in Factory New

The gap to the other wears on this finish is large:

  • Minimal Wear is cheaper by about four times;

  • Field-Tested is cheaper by about eleven times;

  • Well-Worn is cheaper by about sixteen times;

  • Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about twenty times.

The price falls at every step down, and the worn wears never overtake the clean ones. A mosaic loses more to wear than a plain color does: the pattern disappears along with the gold lines.

Among Mil-Spec Tec-9 skins, this finish is sixth from the bottom by price of eighteen. Tec-9 | Jambiya is level with it, while Tec-9 | Blast From the Past and Tec-9 | Cracked Opal are dearer. The most expensive in the rank, Tec-9 | Terrace, costs more than twenty times as much.

Getting the Tec-9 | Sultan

This skin is in no case. The Arabesque Collection sits in the Armory, and items from it are taken from there or bought as a ready listing.

The second route to the Tec-9 | Sultan is a trade-up: hand over ten skins of the rank below, drawn from any collection. Take the ten from this set and the result comes from here. There are four Mil-Spec finishes in the collection, so the chance of getting exactly this one is one in four.

StatTrak and Souvenir

No StatTrak version of the Tec-9 | Sultan was released. There were no Souvenir packages for this finish either: they were made only for the map tournament collections. But you can build a Souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory. That is why a few Souvenir copies turn up now and then even where no packages ever existed.

Stickers and craft on the Tec-9 | Sultan

The finish has no free field at all: tile runs from the shroud to the magazine. A sticker always lands on top of the mosaic, so small and dark ones win, since they do not get lost on the gold lines. Do not cover the white medallions: they hold the pattern, and in Factory New the extra money is paid precisely for the untouched look.

Who this wear suits

Buying the Tec-9 | Sultan in Factory New is worth it for three things:

  • the gold setting of the tiles in full color, with no light patches on the raised parts;

  • the ornament in the medallions, which reads worse in the worn wears;

  • predictability: on the 0.00 to 0.07 band the copies are almost identical.

For fighting in CS2 the premium does not pay off: at a distance the mosaic blurs into a teal patch. The point of this wear is inspection up close, where you can see every tile and the medallion ornament.
