Description

This is the Tec-9 | Whiteout in Battle-Scarred (BS), where the cream-white fill has darkened and rubbed through at the edges more than anywhere else on the scale. It is Restricted, from the Train 2025 Collection. The skin has no ordinary case: copies come from tournament Souvenir packages.

What the Tec-9 | Whiteout looks like in Battle-Scarred

The pistol is a single color, with no artwork. The barrel shroud with its rows of round holes, the receiver, the grip and the long magazine are all coated in cream, not snow white. A fine stamped marking sits on the receiver, and the grip is knurled.

Valve writes that the pistol was sprayed white from a can and looks clean, though appearances deceive. On Battle-Scarred that cleanness is gone: the paint is rubbed off around the shroud holes and on the bevels of the grip. With no artwork, any scuff shows immediately against the plain background.

Where the Tec-9 | Whiteout came from

The skin was released on March 31, 2025. Valve's changelog had a single line for it: "The Train 2025 Collection". The set had no separate announcement.

What to check before buying

What separates one listing from another:

  • the float: wear in this band lies between 0.45 and 1.00;

  • the edges of the shroud and the grip, where the paint goes first;

  • a name tag and stickers: they stay on the listing after the deal.

There is no artwork at all, so there is no pattern to choose. This wear holds both 0.45 and 1.00, and such listings look different from each other: the wear takes up 59% of the 0.06 to 1.00 range.

What the Tec-9 | Whiteout costs in Battle-Scarred

The other wears cost more, by these factors:

  • Factory New by almost 130 times;

  • Minimal Wear by 11 times;

  • Field-Tested by almost two times;

  • Well-Worn by 13%.

Among five Restricted Tec-9 skins, this one is second from the top in this wear: only the Tec-9 | Nuclear Threat is more expensive, by more than thirty times. Cheaper are the Tec-9 | Avalanche, the Tec-9 | Bamboozle and the Tec-9 | Brother. The Avalanche is the nearest, lower by only a fifth.

Getting the Tec-9 | Whiteout

No regular case contains it. It sits in the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package and the Budapest 2025 Train Souvenir Package. A trade-up for it takes ten skins one rank lower from this collection, with a one in three chance.

StatTrak and Souvenir

StatTrak does not exist for this pistol; a Souvenir release does.

Stickers and craft on the Tec-9 | Whiteout

The plain base suits a craft: dark, saturated stickers read in full, while white and light gray ones disappear. The free space is the sides of the grip and the receiver. The scuffs on Battle-Scarred are already there, so a sticker takes no cleanness from the listing.

Who this wear suits

Battle-Scarred is a sensible choice if:

  • you want a white pistol with no artwork at the lowest price the finish has;

  • paying 130 times more for Factory New makes no sense to you;

  • the pistol is for a CS2 loadout, where scuffed edges do not get in the way.
