This is the Tec-9 | Whiteout in Well-Worn (WW), with a float from 0.38 to 0.45, which is 7% of the finish's scale. The scale starts at 0.06 rather than at zero. The rank is Restricted, and the collection is The Train 2025 Collection. In this wear the white pistol for CS2 costs more than ten times less than Minimal Wear.
What the Tec-9 | Whiteout looks like in Well-Worn
The pistol is painted one color, close to cream. The barrel shroud with its round holes, the receiver, the grip and the long magazine are covered in solid paint with no artwork. A stamped marking can be read on the receiver, and there is knurling on the grip. Valve writes that the Tec-9 was sprayed white from a can and looks clean, though appearances deceive.
In Well-Worn that deception shows: the white along the shroud edges and the faces of the grip is already gray, and patches run across the flat planes of the receiver. There is no artwork, so every scuff reads against a plain background.
Where the Tec-9 | Whiteout came from
The skin entered the game on March 31, 2025. In Valve's note about that update the collection gets one line: "The Train 2025 Collection". The sources name no author for the finish.
What to check before buying
Copies of this Tec-9 differ only in these respects:
- the float: in this wear the wear scale runs from 0.38 to 0.45;
- a name tag and stickers, if the copy carries them;
- the type of listing: the finish has no StatTrak, but Souvenir copies exist.
The paint is applied the same way across the whole run. In this wear the band of 0.38 to 0.45 is narrow, and copies barely differ from one another.
What the Tec-9 | Whiteout costs in Well-Worn
- Factory New costs 112.89 times as much;
- Minimal Wear costs 10.31 times as much;
- Field-Tested costs 1.71 times as much;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by 1.08 times.
The scale explains the enormous gap at the top: Factory New gets only the strip from 0.06 to 0.07, one hundredth of the whole range. For Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred the prices are almost equal.
Among six Restricted Tec-9 skins in this wear, this one is the most expensive. The nearest below it are Re-Entry and Avalanche, then Bamboozle, Red Quartz and Brother.
Getting the Tec-9 | Whiteout
No regular case drops this finish. Copies come from tournament Souvenir packages: the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package and the Budapest 2025 Train Souvenir Package.
The trade-up route works like this: ten Mil-Spec skins go into the contract, and the inputs determine the collection of the result. Ten from The Train 2025 Collection give one of the set's three Restricted skins, so this pistol comes out in one case of three.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Tec-9 | Whiteout has no StatTrak version, but there is a Souvenir release: the finish is part of the Austin 2025 and Budapest 2025 tournament packages.
Stickers and craft on the Tec-9 | Whiteout
The clean white field with no artwork is an even base for a craft. Dark, saturated stickers show up on it in full, while white and light gray ones vanish. In Well-Worn, keep stickers away from the edges, where the white has already turned gray.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn on the Tec-9 | Whiteout makes sense under these conditions:
- you want a white pistol with no artwork, and a factory look does not matter;
- paying more than ten times as much for Minimal Wear makes no sense to you;
- the craft needs a light base, and gray patches on the edges are acceptable.
If the wear bothers you, Field-Tested costs only 1.71 times as much.
