The UMP-45 | Motorized in Field-Tested (FT) is a Mil-Spec submachine gun from The Kilowatt Collection, decorated with the design of an internal combustion engine. This wear is given floats from 0.15 to 0.38, while the finish's ceiling is 0.80. The skin drops from the Kilowatt Case.
What the UMP-45 | Motorized looks like in Field-Tested
Valve writes that the finish resembles an internal combustion engine converted into a weapon. The body is silver-gray metal with raised panels and rivet points, its parts laid out like the components of a mechanism. Red accents are few: a ring on the front grip, the trigger and small dots on the body. Valve's caption reads "With routine maintenance this'll last at least 500,000 bullets!".
Field-Tested is the middle of the wear scale, where scratches and scuffs are noticeable. The degree of wear is recorded in the float and fixed at the drop, so a copy does not change over time.
Where the UMP-45 | Motorized came from
The Kilowatt Case came out on February 6, 2024. In the update note Valve describes it as a set of seventeen finishes made by the community, and adds the Kukri knife in original finishes as the rare special item. Motorized is one of those seventeen.
Valve's catalog number for the finish is 1175.
What to check before buying
Before buying a UMP-45 | Motorized, check the following:
- float: at 0.15 far fewer marks of wear show than at 0.38;
- StatTrak or regular: the counter version has its own page and its own price;
- the stickers and name tag this exact copy already carries.
The pattern does not vary: every copy is painted alike. In this wear the span is 0.15 to 0.38, and it holds both nearly clean bodies and visibly worn ones.
What the UMP-45 | Motorized costs in Field-Tested
Set against Field-Tested, the other wears stand like this:
- Factory New costs almost twice as much;
- Minimal Wear runs about a seventh below it;
- Well-Worn is level;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by a few percent.
Of the sixteen Mil-Spec UMP-45 skins, this one sits at the cheap end of the row: only UMP-45 | Fragment is lower, and UMP-45 | Warm Blooded comes right above. UMP-45 | Day Lily and UMP-45 | Minotaur's Labyrinth, the top of the row, cost hundreds of times more.
Getting the UMP-45 | Motorized
The Kilowatt Case is the only case that holds this finish. A contract cannot produce the UMP-45 | Motorized, because Mil-Spec is the bottom rank in The Kilowatt Collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the UMP-45 | Motorized exists. Souvenir packages were never issued for this finish: they were made only for the tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be assembled by hand, though. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from the inventory. That is why the occasional souvenir copy turns up even where no packages ever existed.
Stickers and craft on the UMP-45 | Motorized
Silver metal with red dots takes almost any sticker. Red ones echo the accents on the grip and the trigger, while black and white ones add contrast. The raised panels in the center of the body are taken up by the artwork, so the smooth stock offers more room, including for a craft in CS2.
Who this wear suits
Field-Tested is a sound choice for the UMP-45 | Motorized if at least one of these fits:
- you want a submachine gun for CS2 with a mechanical design of its own;
- you would rather not pay almost double for Factory New;
- you want the kill-counter version, which this skin has.
Minimal Wear would cost less, but the saving there is about a seventh of the price.
