The XM1014 | Monster Melt in Field-Tested (FT) is a cartoon paint job with little monster faces on a Restricted shotgun. The skin comes from The Overpass 2024 Collection, runs at float 0.15 to 0.38 and has no ordinary case.

What the XM1014 | Monster Melt looks like in Field-Tested

The paint job is bright and cartoonish: round faces with big eyes and mouths are scattered over the barrel and receiver, along with drips, little stars and small blots. The background shimmers in pastel colors: pink, mint green, lilac, yellow and light blue. No lettering can be made out.

The faces sit thickest on the side of the receiver and on the handguard. The tops of the barrels stayed dark, as did the magazine tube with its pink dots. The stock is a separate iridescent patch with gasoline-like purple-green swirls.

In Field-Tested the edges of the artwork are ragged, and dark metal shows through along the receiver ridges. The float band is wide: it holds both 0.15 and 0.38, and such listings look different.

Where the XM1014 | Monster Melt came from

The skin arrived in the game in October 2024 together with The Overpass 2024 Collection. Valve writes that the monsters are drawn on both sides of the shotgun, and adds the line "Best to not check the other side".

The pastel artwork is dense, so in CS2 stickers with a dark outline work better. The dark barrels and magazine tube give clean spots for light stickers. The iridescent stock changes the color under a sticker a lot, depending on the angle.
