★ Karambit | Rust Coat (Battle-Scarred)

Battle-Scarred (BS) is the second and last of the two wears of the ★ Karambit | Rust Coat. Only Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred exist, because the float starts at 0.40. In CS2 this Covert rank karambit, marked with the ★, drops from the Chroma Case, the Chroma 2 Case and the Chroma 3 Case. The scale of this wear of the ★ Karambit | Rust Coat runs between 0.45 and 1.00.

What the ★ Karambit | Rust Coat looks like in Battle-Scarred

The blade is steel in pale blue and gray, with orange-brown streaks of rust laid over it. The handle is gray-olive, rubberized, with finger grooves and notching along the spine, and the ring is dark, matched to the handle.

Between 0.45 and 1.00 the ★ Karambit | Rust Coat holds enough difference to be worth comparing several listings. Wear is locked in at the drop: no rust accumulates, because it is built into the Rust Coat finish itself.

What to check before buying

Before paying for the ★ Karambit | Rust Coat, check:

• float: across 0.45 to 1.00 the copies look noticeably different;

• the look of the listing in its picture: where the rust spots lie and the tone of the steel;

• the applied name: a name tag is allowed, and there are no stickers on a knife;

• the item type: a StatTrak karambit in this finish is listed separately.

What the ★ Karambit | Rust Coat costs in Battle-Scarred

Well-Worn is the only other wear of the finish, and it costs 1.17 times more. Of the two, Battle-Scarred is the cheaper.

Among Covert karambits in Battle-Scarred, the finish stands a little below the middle: of eighteen, six are cheaper and eleven cost more. Above it are Stained, Bright Water and Night, below it are Ultraviolet and Scorched. The foot of the row is Safari Mesh, Boreal Forest and Forest DDPAT, and the summit is Case Hardened, Autotronic and Blue Steel.

Getting the ★ Karambit | Rust Coat

The knife drops from three cases: the Chroma Case, the Chroma 2 Case and the Chroma 3 Case. A craft from five Covert skins of one type yields a rare special item too, but the model and finish that come out are random.

Is there a StatTrak version

A StatTrak version of the Karambit | Rust Coat exists in the game.

Who this wear suits

The ★ Karambit | Rust Coat here makes sense on these terms:

• you want a karambit with rusted steel, and Well-Worn costs 1.17 times more;

• a CS2 loadout in dark and gray tones needs a scuffed karambit;

• you want the chance to choose, across the wide float band of 0.45 to 1.00, the copy that looks better than the rest.
