Feast of Abscession

What Changes on the Butcher

Feast of Abscession is Pudge's arcana. It occupies the hero base slot and rebuilds the butcher outright; this copy costs a two-figure sum between $10 and $20 and carries one unlocked style out of two.

The Hook Streak Counter

The arcana substitutes the model itself — textures, animations and the pedestal he stands on in previews. Nothing is bolted onto the default hero.

The ultimate gets its own treatment as well: the business of eating a victim is dressed differently depending on who is being dragged in.

Numbers stay where they were. Hook range, Rot damage and Dismember duration match a Pudge wearing nothing at all.

This is one of the rarer cases where a spell's presentation is reworked rather than just the model and the audio.

The Styles Line Reads One of Two

The signature feature is a tally of consecutive hooks. A number floats above the hero and climbs with every accurate throw.

Milestones along that run switch on effects of their own, so the picture tells you how the evening is going for whoever is playing.

Catch a creep and the count restarts. It is a small detail, and it is exactly what stops owners from throwing the chain at everything that moves.

The counter is decoration. It does not touch range, damage or cooldown in any way.

Plain Versus Prefixed Copies

The arcana has a second style and it cannot be bought separately — it opens through a condition met inside the game.

That open state belongs to the individual copy, which is why the card carries a line for it. On this one, a single look out of two is available.

Read the line before paying. Copies with different style counts are indistinguishable on the shelf and priced apart.

What It Costs and Who It Is For

Quality here is standard, with no word before the title. That is the simplest and usually the cheapest form of the arcana.

Copies with quality prefixes sit nearby in the catalogue. In a match they look identical; the difference is confined to a line of inventory text.

If the arcana is for playing, there is no sense paying a premium for a word. If it is for collecting, that word is precisely the purchase.

Either way the full title deserves a careful read, since a prefix is easy to miss in a long name.

Where to Buy the Pudge Arcana

For an arcana this is one of the softest prices in the game — comparable to a good Immortal slot on another hero. Take the current number from the card above.

Pudge has been among the most played heroes for the entire history of Dota 2, and demand for his cosmetics holds all year rather than moving in seasons.

Buy it if you genuinely play him, because it changes the picture every match. Occasional pickers are better served by an ordinary set or a taunt.

His hook remains a separate story: the most famous item on the hero takes the weapon slot and costs an order of magnitude more than this arcana.

The purchase runs from this LIS-SKINS page: Steam login, then card, cryptocurrency or e-wallet.

It arrives in your Steam inventory and is collected by the client automatically. Selling it on with a real-money withdrawal works from here as well.

Weapon slots and taunts for the butcher are shelved alongside. They cost a fraction of the arcana and round the look off once the base is in place.
