What Mace of Aeons Gives You

Mace of Aeons is an Immortal weapon for Faceless Void that also redraws Chronosphere: instead of the default purple bubble, a glass dome appears on the map. It is one of the most expensive items on the hero.

The Item's Styles

The item takes the weapon slot and replaces the mace itself. But that is not why people buy it — the point is the altered Chronosphere.

Void's ultimate is what the entire enemy team and half of yours are watching. It stands on the map for seconds, people run into it and out of it, and the fight is built around it. No other slot on this hero is on screen that often or that long.

Mechanically nothing moves: radius, duration and behaviour of Chronosphere stay exactly as they were.

Why It Costs What It Costs

Mace of Aeons has three styles. How many are unlocked on a given copy is shown in that offer's card, on the Unlocked styles line.

It is worth checking before you buy: copies with different numbers of unlocked styles are priced differently and look identical on the shelf.

Styles are alternate looks for the same item rather than separate items. They switch in the inventory and cost nothing extra.

Which Hero It Fits

The three-figure price rests on scarcity rather than looks: the item is old, few copies circulate, and Faceless Void has stayed a popular hero.

Very little of it changes hands in a day. For a buyer that cuts both ways — the price is stable, and selling it on again will not be quick.

Is It Worth Buying

Faceless Void, and only him. Dota 2 cosmetics are bound to one hero, so the item cannot be moved to anyone else.

He is also regularly confused with Void Spirit — different hero, different catalogue. This mace belongs to the one with Chronosphere.

It sits comfortably with any set on him: the weapon slot is independent of the armour, so style clashes are rare.

Where to Buy Mace of Aeons

If Void is in your core pool, this is the best visibility-per-dollar purchase available on him, simply because what changes is the ultimate rather than a shoulder piece.

If you play him occasionally, look at ordinary sets first — they cost cents, and Chronosphere will stay default either way, because only this item changes it.
