The ★ Bayonet | Doppler Black Pearl in Minimal Wear (MW) is the second and last condition for this gem, as the scale breaks off at 0.08. Covert rank, ★ mark. The knife drops from the Chroma Case and the cases that followed it. No Covert finish on the plain bayonet costs more.
What the ★ Bayonet | Doppler Black Pearl looks like in Minimal Wear
The nacre on this gem is dark blue, going to black in places, with light blue swirls over the face. It sits on the blade alone: guard and ring stay bare steel, whereas the M9 bayonet has both painted. A long fuller runs down the face, colored with the rest, while the round hole was left bare. The heel holds the darkest shade, lighter veins appear toward the point, and this model carries no saw on the spine. The handle is olive green, painted to imitate a wrap.
The stretch of scale here is 0.07 to 0.08. The cutting edge and the tip lighten first, then the lips of the fuller; the steel guard is beyond wear, being bare already. In Minimal Wear that is a thin pale line along the edge, the swirls on the face untouched.
Phase and pattern
With Doppler the variant is sewn into the item name and picked on the item page, not in an inventory. Phases one through four are ordinary, while Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl come as rare; CS2 has a collective word for those, gems.
Within the gem itself the only variable is how the nacre fell across the blade. Some sources treat that as grounds for a premium, others recognize no rare variations inside a gem.
What to check before buying
Worth checking before payment:
- the variant in the listing name, since each gem has its own page and price;
- the model, as the plain bayonet has a steel guard and the M9 a painted one, easily confused in a small photo;
- the float, which in Minimal Wear is above 0.07, the edge already touched;
- the applied name, which stays on the knife after purchase;
- the version, as the StatTrak variant is listed separately.
What the ★ Bayonet | Doppler Black Pearl costs in Minimal Wear
Float leaves next to nothing to choose between, the run of 0.07 to 0.08 being short. By condition the choice is two listings: this one, or the cleaner Factory New at a higher price.
Among the bayonet's Covert finishes Black Pearl is the dearest, and the distance to the rest is wide. Nearest in price are the ordinary Gamma Doppler phases, five and a half times cheaper. The ordinary Doppler Phase 2 sits at around an eighth of the gem, and Bayonet | Scorched and Bayonet | Safari Mesh are more than thirty times cheaper.
Getting the ★ Bayonet | Doppler Black Pearl
The Chroma Case is the first source: the knife comes out of it as a rare ★ item, and which gem you get is chance. The same finish sits in two later cases of the series.
The contract is the second: five Covert skins of one collection return one random rare special item, with no model or gem to order. A given gem in a given condition is found among finished listings.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The ★ Bayonet | Doppler Black Pearl has a StatTrak version; no Souvenir edition was ever made.
Who this wear suits
Buying the ★ Bayonet | Doppler Black Pearl here is worth it if:
- the bayonet's dearest finish is wanted without paying for the top condition;
- the loadout is cold blue-black, where bare steel on the guard adds a highlight;
- a clean face matters, since only the edge lightens and the swirls stay whole.
