★ Bowie Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 1 (Factory New)

The ★ Bowie Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 1 (Factory New) is the turquoise-and-lilac phase of Gamma Doppler on the CS2 Bowie Knife. It is Covert rank, with the ★ mark, and you can get the knife from two cases: the Operation Riptide Case and the Dreams & Nightmares Case. The float of the finish ends at 0.08, so there are two wears, Factory New (FN) and Minimal Wear (MW).

What the ★ Bowie Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 1 looks like in Factory New

The wide blade shimmers turquoise, light blue and lilac, and it lightens almost to white at the point. Marbled swirls run across the flat. A saw runs along the spine, the very sawback in Valve's description. The guard and the butt of the handle are green, while the handle itself is black, with raised rivets.

The float scale of this wear of the ★ Bowie Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 1 lies between 0.00 and 0.07. In Factory New the lacquer is intact on the edge and on the saw teeth. Wear is set at the moment of the drop: a copy stays as it was opened.

Where the ★ Bowie Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 1 came from

Valve created the Gamma Doppler finish, and it had no Steam Workshop submission. Its number in the catalog is 569, and it came out on June 15, 2016, but the Bowie Knife received it much later. Valve introduced the Operation Riptide Case on September 22, 2021. On January 21, 2022, the Gamma knives from it were included in the Dreams & Nightmares Case as rare special items.

Phase and pattern

The item name contains the phase, and Gamma Doppler has five variants: four regular phases and Emerald. You choose the phase on the listing page, and a case will not hand one over on request. Emerald is the only gem here; the others, Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl, belong to Doppler.

Within Phase 1 the copies differ: the pattern index shifts turquoise, light blue and lilac along the blade. The layout of a particular copy shows in the listing image, not in the name.

What to check before buying

Choosing a specific ★ Bowie Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 1 comes down to these points:

• the phase in the listing name: the four regular phases and Emerald are separate items, and turquoise and green are easy to confuse in a preview;

• float: the band is short, and by eye the copies barely differ within it;

• an applied name: a name tag on a Bowie Knife is possible and stays on the item after purchase;

• the version: a StatTrak knife is listed on its own.

The 0.00 to 0.07 band is tight on the ★ Bowie Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 1, and the outermost listings differ only by the number.

What the ★ Bowie Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 1 costs in Factory New

Minimal Wear costs 1.37 times as much as the top wear. For a finish whose scale ends at 0.08, the lower wear costs more.

The four regular Gamma Doppler phases on the Bowie Knife cost almost the same: Phase 2 is nine percent higher, and Phases 3 and 4 are two percent lower. Emerald costs 2.3 times as much as Phase 1. Doppler comes next: Sapphire is 2.4 times Phase 1, Ruby 3.5 times and Black Pearl almost five.

Of 26 Bowie Knife finishes, 13 cost less than Phase 1 and 12 cost more. Fade is six percent higher, and Slaughter four. Bright Water is more than three times cheaper, while Black Laminate and Freehand are two and a half times cheaper.

Getting the ★ Bowie Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 1

The Bowie Knife with Gamma Doppler drops from the Operation Riptide Case and the Dreams & Nightmares Case, and the phase comes out random. The contract is another route: five Covert skins from one collection give one rare special item, and neither the model nor the phase can be assigned. Phase 1 specifically is bought as a ready-made listing.

Is there a StatTrak version

A StatTrak version of the ★ Bowie Knife | Gamma Doppler Phase 1 exists in the game.
