It has Covert rank, with the ★ mark, and drops from the Operation Breakout Weapon Case. The finish comes in three wears, and its scale reaches 0.26 and stops at Field-Tested.

What the ★ Butterfly Knife | Slaughter looks like in Factory New

The blade is flooded with red. Toward the tip the color lightens and lies in stripes, and toward the heel it thickens to a dark cherry. The handles are black, with a red inlay down each half, and the latch is red as well.

In Factory New the red coating is intact on the blade and on the ridges of the handles. When wear does come, the first scratches land on the tip of the blade and the raised ridges, where the red gives way to bare metal. Wear is fixed at the drop, so a butterfly stays exactly as it fell. The scale of the finish begins at 0.01, so no Slaughter has a float of 0.00.
