★ Classic Knife

The ★ Classic Knife without a skin is the Classic Knife in CS2 in its stock form: the listing description marks it as unpainted. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. There is no wear tier, float or pattern, and every copy is the same.

What the ★ Classic Knife looks like

The blade is wide, with a curved point, and small serrations are cut on the spine by the guard. The blade is gray-blue, with light sand-colored streaks running across it and a bright line along the cutting edge. That texture is built into the model and is identical on every copy, so it does not count as a skin.

The guard is dark and curved, and at its base a plate of light metal is set into the handle. The handle itself is black, with a fine diamond relief and a loop at the butt.

How the plain ★ Classic Knife differs from a skinned one

On the Classic Knife a skin changes both the color of the blade and the price. Without one:

• there is no wear tier, and along with it no float and no wear;

• the pattern is not rolled: the sandy streaks on the blade are the same on every copy;

• a name tag can be applied, and the lettering stays on the knife after a sale;

• there are no stickers, since knives have no slots for them.

What remains is deciding whether you want the counter version.

What the ★ Classic Knife costs

Among Classic Knife skins the unpainted knife stands in the upper part of the range. By starting price eleven skins cost less. Only Classic Knife | Fade costs more, by about one and a half times.

Nearest below are Classic Knife | Slaughter (a few percent cheaper), then Classic Knife | Crimson Web (a quarter) and Classic Knife | Case Hardened (a third). Fade tops the range, and no skin on this model is above it.

Is there a StatTrak version

Yes: the StatTrak™ Classic Knife is sold as a separate item. The counter tracks kills made with this exact knife and passes to the buyer as it stands. The counter version costs about one and a half times the normal one.

Getting the ★ Classic Knife

The Classic Knife drops as a rare special item from the CS20 Case only, and the model has no other case. The unpainted version lies in the same rare special item pool as the skins, so opening a case gives it by chance.

Another route is a trade-up contract: five Covert skins of one collection exchange for a rare special item, and the result is not chosen in advance. If you want the unpainted Classic Knife specifically, you can buy it as a ready listing on LIS-SKINS.

Who it suits

The ★ Classic Knife without a skin suits you if:

• you like the shape of the Classic Knife the way the game delivers it;

• you do not want to pay extra for Fade, which costs about one and a half times as much on this model;

• you want a listing without float or phases, with nothing to compare.
