The ★ Huntsman Knife | Autotronic in Field-Tested (FT) is a CS2 Huntsman Knife with a steel blade and a red anodized zone. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. Its sources are the Operation Riptide Case and the Dreams & Nightmares Case. The float scale runs from 0.00 to 0.85, so there are five wears, and Field-Tested occupies the stretch from 0.15 to 0.38 on it.
What the ★ Huntsman Knife | Autotronic looks like in Field-Tested
The tanto-point blade is half steel: along the cutting edge the metal is light and shiny. A wide red band of anodizing runs toward the spine, with a thin steel insert through it, while the teeth on the spine stay dark. The guard and the hook under the handle are red too. The handle itself is black, ribbed, with a single bolt. Valve writes that the steel mesh lightens the knife.
In Field-Tested, wear takes the tip of the blade first, then the red zone by the edge, where the anodizing rubs down to steel. It is fixed at drop and does not grow further.
Where the ★ Huntsman Knife | Autotronic came from
The finish appeared in September 2021, when Valve launched Operation Riptide. It later joined the Dreams & Nightmares Case as well, where Valve made the operation case's knives rare special items.
What to check before buying
Before taking the ★ Huntsman Knife | Autotronic, look at these points:
- float: in this wear the ★ Huntsman Knife | Autotronic is a band of 0.15 to 0.38, where you find nearly clean knives and visibly scuffed ones;
- pattern: the ★ Huntsman Knife | Autotronic has no pattern variants, so there is nothing to choose by;
- name tag: the knife accepts a name, and the applied one stays after the purchase;
- wear in the listing title: all five wears are separate items.
What the ★ Huntsman Knife | Autotronic costs in Field-Tested
Factory New costs exactly twice as much, Minimal Wear 1.3 times, Well-Worn 1.13 times. Battle-Scarred is cheaper than Field-Tested by about 5 percent.

Getting the ★ Huntsman Knife | Autotronic
The Huntsman Knife with this finish drops from the Operation Riptide Case and the Dreams & Nightmares Case, and the wear is random. Another route is a contract of five Covert skins from one collection: out comes a rare special item, and neither model nor finish can be chosen. The wear you want has to be taken from the listings.
Is there a StatTrak version
A StatTrak version of the ★ Huntsman Knife | Autotronic exists in the game.
Who this wear suits
The ★ Huntsman Knife | Autotronic in Field-Tested is worth buying for reasons like these:
- you want a red-and-steel Huntsman Knife, not a finish with bright paint across the whole blade;
- your CS2 loadout rests on black and red;
- you would rather pick a copy by its float number than by its pattern.
