What the ★ Huntsman Knife | Black Laminate looks like in Field-Tested

The tanto-style blade is dark gray with a grainy texture, like steel after a tumble in stones. Valve calls it stonewash. A row of serrations runs along the spine near the point, and a narrow fuller runs down the blade. The handle is built from light gray-beige laminate scales with dark swirls, set in a black frame held by bolts. Despite the "Black" in the name, it is the pale scales that give the knife its main contrast.

In Field-Tested, wear marks are already visible along the blade edge. Wear is set at the moment of the drop and does not grow after that.

What to check before buying

Look at these points before taking the ★ Huntsman Knife | Black Laminate:

• no lucky pattern can be pulled from a huntsman knife, since it is always the same, so listings differ only in wear;

• float: the band is 0.15 to 0.38, and listings from the ends of the span look different;

• the name on the listing: a huntsman knife takes a name tag, and it passes to the buyer along with the knife.

What the ★ Huntsman Knife | Black Laminate costs in Field-Tested

Of eighteen Covert huntsman knife finishes, Black Laminate in this wear is sixth from the bottom: five cost less and twelve cost more. • Minimal Wear costs 1.2 times as much;

• Well-Worn costs the same;

• Battle-Scarred costs the same.

Getting the ★ Huntsman Knife | Black Laminate
