★ M9 Bayonet

The ★ M9 Bayonet without a skin is the M9 Bayonet in CS2 in its factory form: the lot description marks it as not painted. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. There is no wear, no float and no pattern, so all copies are the same.

What the ★ M9 Bayonet looks like

The blade is dark, with a bevel at the point. A row of saw teeth runs along the spine in the rear half, and an oval hole is cut nearer the point. The top of the blade is almost black, and toward the edge the steel lightens to gray-blue.

A round emblem sits at the base of the blade. The guard carries a ring for mounting on a barrel, and the handle is black, built from ribbed rings that taper toward the butt. The whole knife is dark, and only the edge stays light.

How the plain ★ M9 Bayonet differs from a skinned one

With a skinned M9 Bayonet, buyers look at the color of the blade and the wear. Here there is nothing to look at:

• there is no wear grade, and so no wear or float;

• there is no pattern or phase, and the copies are identical;

• you can apply a name tag, and the text remains on the knife;

• knives never carry stickers.

All that is left to choose is the regular knife or the StatTrak one.

What the ★ M9 Bayonet costs

By the starting "from" price, the unpainted knife sits nearer the lower part of the M9 Bayonet range: twenty skins cost less and fourteen cost more. Next below are M9 Bayonet | Slaughter (a few percent cheaper), M9 Bayonet | Tiger Tooth (a tenth cheaper) and M9 Bayonet | Autotronic (a quarter cheaper).

Above it stand M9 Bayonet | Marble Fade (a few percent more), M9 Bayonet | Fade (a quarter more) and M9 Bayonet | Doppler Phase 1 (almost a third more). At the top of the range, M9 Bayonet | Gamma Doppler Emerald costs about eight and a half times as much as the unpainted knife. M9 Bayonet | Doppler Black Pearl and M9 Bayonet | Doppler Ruby cost almost eleven times as much.

Is there a StatTrak version

Yes. The ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet is listed as a separate item. The kill counter stays on the knife. The StatTrak version costs almost the same as the regular one.

Getting the ★ M9 Bayonet

The M9 Bayonet drops as a rare special item from eleven cases. The first six are Operation Bravo Case, Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, Revolver Case, eSports 2013 Case, eSports 2014 Summer Case and CS:GO Weapon Case. The other five are CS:GO Weapon Case 3, Operation Vanguard Weapon Case, eSports 2013 Winter Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 2 and Winter Offensive Weapon Case.

Bare steel sits in the same pool as the skins, and you cannot pick it when opening a case. Another route is the trade-up contract: five Covert skins from one collection are exchanged for a rare special item, and the model is not chosen in advance. A ready-made unpainted M9 Bayonet can be bought on LIS-SKINS.

The ★ M9 Bayonet without a skin suits you if:

• you want a bayonet in dark tones with no colored artwork;

• you want a lot with no float or phase;

• you like the M9 shape and would rather not pay extra for a skin.
