★ Paracord Knife | Night Stripe (Field-Tested)

The ★ Paracord Knife | Night Stripe in Field-Tested (FT) is a CS2 knife with a tanto-style blade and a cord-wrapped handle, in a matte blue-gray finish. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. Its cases are Shattered Web and Fracture. The finish comes in all five wears, and its float runs from 0.06 to 0.80. Field-Tested occupies the band 0.15 to 0.38 of that scale.

What the ★ Paracord Knife | Night Stripe looks like in Field-Tested

The blade is straight, with a clipped point and a long slot along the flat. The paint is a matte blue-gray with slightly darker stripes. The handle is wrapped in dense cord that matches the blade, with a loop at the end. Valve notes that the knife was spray-painted through a tape mask in the color scheme of "night operations".

In Field-Tested the scratches settle on the point and on the edge of the slot. Wear is recorded in the item at drop, and the paracord does not change after that. Listings within 0.15 to 0.38 differ noticeably in appearance.

Where the ★ Paracord Knife | Night Stripe came from

The Paracord Knife appeared on November 19, 2019 with Operation Shattered Web. Valve's note names it as one of four new knives, alongside the Survival Knife, the Nomad and the Skeleton Knife. They could be obtained from the Shattered Web Case. The second case of this finish is the Fracture Case.

What to check before buying

Before buying the ★ Paracord Knife | Night Stripe, check a few points:

• float: nearer 0.15 the point and the slot are cleaner, and nearer 0.38 the marks are more visible;

• pattern: there is no point hunting this finish by pattern index, because the artwork does not change;

• applied name: the paracord takes a name tag, which stays on the item after the purchase.

What the ★ Paracord Knife | Night Stripe costs in Field-Tested

The top wear is noticeably more expensive here: Factory New costs 4.11 times as much. Minimal Wear costs 1.23 times as much, Well-Worn 1.19 times, and Battle-Scarred 1.10 times. Field-Tested stays the cheapest wear of the finish.

Of thirteen paracord finishes in this wear, only Forest DDPAT, Safari Mesh and Scorched are cheaper than Night Stripe. Boreal Forest and Urban Masked come right next to it. The upper part of the lineup holds Crimson Web, Case Hardened and Slaughter, and the last costs two and a half times as much or more.

Getting the ★ Paracord Knife | Night Stripe

The knife drops from the Shattered Web Case and the Fracture Case, and the wear that comes out is random. A contract offers a different route: five Covert skins of one collection turn into one rare special item, but you cannot choose the model or the finish. The wear you need is easier to take as a listing.

Is there a StatTrak version
