A paracord knife with this finish drops from the Shattered Web and Fracture Cases. The five wears lie on a float scale from 0.06 to 0.80. This wear of the ★ Paracord Knife | Safari Mesh lies between 0.15 and 0.38.

What the ★ Paracord Knife | Safari Mesh looks like in Field-Tested

Valve describes the model as a fixed-blade knife, good both as a weapon and as a tool, for traps, hunting and cutting back vegetation. The blade is straight, with a slanted cut at the point and a long slot along the spine. The color is olive-sand, and a pale hexagonal mesh shows through the flat. Valve says the paint went on through a mesh fence and cardboard stencils. The handle is wrapped in light cord with grubby-looking stains on it.

In Field-Tested, wear marks show on the tip of the blade and on the turns of the cord. Wear is fixed at drop, so such a copy keeps for good the marks it fell with.

Where the ★ Paracord Knife | Safari Mesh came from

The paracord knife came out on November 19, 2019, with Operation Shattered Web. In Valve's note it is named first of the four new knives, as the knife with a handle wrapped in paracord. The other three are the survival knife, the Nomad and the skeleton knife.

What to check before buying

Before taking a ★ Paracord Knife | Safari Mesh, look at these points:

• float: the 0.15 to 0.38 band holds both clean blades and scuffed ones;

• name on the knife: a name tag is allowed, and the paracord knife has no sticker slots;

• a StatTrak copy is listed separately.

Choosing the ★ Paracord Knife | Safari Mesh by pattern is not an option, since it is the same on every listing. In this wear the stretch of 0.15 to 0.38 is long, so comparing several listings makes sense.

What the ★ Paracord Knife | Safari Mesh costs in Field-Tested

Factory New costs 2.86 times as much, Minimal Wear 1.12 times, and Well-Worn 6 percent more. Battle-Scarred is level with Field-Tested.

Safari Mesh is the second-cheapest Covert paracord finish in this wear and stands level with Forest DDPAT. Scorched costs a twelfth more, while Boreal Forest, Urban Masked and Night Stripe cost 15 to 16 percent more. Case Hardened is more than twice as dear, and Slaughter three times.
