The ★ Sport Gloves | Scarlet Shamagh in Field-Tested (FT) carry a red-pink houndstooth pattern on a gray-green ground. Extraordinary rank, with the star. There are three sources, all of them cases: the Operation Broken Fang Case, the Snakebite Case and the Recoil Case. The wear scale of the finish is cut off at the bottom and runs from 0.06 to 0.80.
What the ★ Sport Gloves | Scarlet Shamagh look like in Field-Tested
The name points to the shamagh scarf, but on the model it is a large houndstooth: pink-red points over a dark gray-green. The pattern covers the back of the hand and the fingers on that side. The cuff and the fingertips are glossy dark red leather. The palm is gray-green, with dark red leather inserts and a red piping along the edge.
The finger creases and the knuckles give out first, and the scuffing of fabric and leather shows right there. From 0.15 to 0.38 the scuffs on the ★ Sport Gloves | Scarlet Shamagh build up noticeably. Wear is set at drop, so a listing does not change over time.
Where the ★ Sport Gloves | Scarlet Shamagh came from
The gloves arrived with the glove set of Operation Broken Fang, which opened on December 3, 2020. Valve put the same set into the Snakebite Case (update note of May 4, 2021) and into the Recoil Case (July 4, 2022). Valve's own item description says only that synthetic fabrics make the gloves durable and bright.
What to check before buying
Picking a particular pair of the ★ Sport Gloves | Scarlet Shamagh rests on these points:
- float: across 0.15 to 0.38 the scuffing grows, and listings from the ends of the span differ to the eye;
- the red leather of the cuff and fingertips, whose condition shows in the listing screenshot;
- the wear in the name: Factory New costs almost seven times as much, and Minimal Wear almost twice.
What the ★ Sport Gloves | Scarlet Shamagh cost in Field-Tested
Nineteen Sport Gloves finishes have a price in this wear, and Scarlet Shamagh stands fourteenth from the top. Five finishes cost less. Among them Big Game is a quarter lower, and the most affordable is Bronze Morph. Thirteen lie above it: Omega, for example, costs a few percent more, and the summit belongs to Hedge Maze, Pandora's Box and Superconductor.
By wear, the spread is this:
- Factory New runs almost seven times higher;
- Minimal Wear costs almost twice as much;
- Well-Worn is cheaper by a tenth;
- Battle-Scarred sits more than a fifth lower.
Getting the ★ Sport Gloves | Scarlet Shamagh
Scarlet Shamagh drops from three cases: Operation Broken Fang, Snakebite and Recoil. The wear that comes out is random. A contract is the second route: five Covert skins of one collection return a rare special item, and neither the model nor the finish can be assigned in it. That is why the wear you need is bought as a listing.
Who this wear suits
The ★ Sport Gloves | Scarlet Shamagh are worth buying in this wear if:
- what stays in view matters: the pair is before your eyes all round, while the knife is shown only briefly on the inspect screen. Gloves are where that constant visibility is paid for;
- red with gray-green suits your CS2 loadout and the gloves should carry the pattern;
- you want a more affordable finish in the model: only five cost less.
