★ Sport Gloves | Superconductor in Factory New (FN) is the third most expensive Sport Gloves finish in CS2 and the most restrained in color of the top three. Extraordinary rank, with a ★ standing in the name. The Glove Case drops the pair, with the Operation Hydra Case as a second source. Cleaner than 0.06 it does not come: the scale begins there.
What the ★ Sport Gloves | Superconductor look like in Factory New
The base is dark gray, in places a brownish steel, with whitish streaks. A gray panel with vertical ribs sits on the back of the hand, every rib lit by a thin turquoise line. Palm and fingers carry a turquoise honeycomb mesh over the gray, a turquoise trim runs around the cuff, and the triangular cuff logo is white. The hexagonal cells read clearly, and a fine grain like oxidized metal is scattered across the gray.
In Factory New the turquoise lighting burns evenly along every rib and cell. Further down the scale it is the first thing to go out, on the knuckles and fingertips, and only then does the gray fade toward white. A dark base hides wear better than a bright finish, so the top grade is paid for above all as intact lighting.
Where the ★ Sport Gloves | Superconductor came from
Valve drew the finish, and the Steam Workshop holds no submission for it. The catalog lists it at number 10018, the earliest number among the three expensive Sport Gloves pairs. The gloves came out on November 28, 2016 with the Glove Case Skins update, and in 2017 the Operation Hydra Case joined the Glove Case as a source.
Phase and pattern
Copies are not identical: the finish has a pattern spread, and the pattern guide records it. It sits on the palm side, where the pattern index shifts how the texture lands. No rare named variations exist, and nobody pays extra for an index number. Since October 1, 2025 glove wear and pattern are visible in a spectated player's loadout too, which Valve noted separately.
What to check before buying
What matters on a listing:
- the float, which runs from 0.06 to 0.07 with nothing changing visually inside the band;
- the state of the turquoise lighting on the knuckles, which gives before the gray does;
- the wear in the title: Minimal Wear (MW) is markedly cheaper, but its lighting is no longer continuous.
What the ★ Sport Gloves | Superconductor cost in Factory New
This grade is a narrow 0.06–0.07 band, and copies barely differ, so listings are compared on price rather than on float.
The gaps between grades are gentler here than on the two pairs above. Minimal Wear is about three and a half times cheaper, Field-Tested five and a half times under, Well-Worn (WW) lower still, and Battle-Scarred (BS) more than eleven times down.
Third by price among Sport Gloves, this pair stays close to its neighbors below. Vice is about a third cheaper and Ultra Violent nearly half, while Hedge Maze costs almost four times more.
Getting the ★ Sport Gloves | Superconductor
Two cases drop the pair, the Glove Case and the Operation Hydra Case. The other way in is a trade-up contract: five Covert skins of one collection return one rare special item that cannot be chosen.
Who this wear suits
Factory New is worth it for three things:
- intact turquoise lighting, which dims first in the worn grades;
- a gray and steel palette that does not fight the weapon colors in a CS2 loadout;
- entry into the top of the rank, the easiest of the three expensive pairs.
