What the ★ Sport Gloves | Superconductor look like in Field-Tested

The back of the hand is dark gray, in places a steely shade, with whitish streaks. Glowing light-blue stripes and segments run across it, and a triangular insert sits on the back. The fingers, palm and cuff are turquoise with a honeycomb pattern, and the edges are lit in pale blue.

On gloves wear shows not as scratches but as scuffing of the fabric and leather at the finger joints and along the seams. In Field-Tested it is already noticeable. The degree of scuffing is set when the case is opened, and the pair stays that way for good.

Where the ★ Sport Gloves | Superconductor came from

The ★ Sport Gloves | Superconductor were drawn by Valve, and the Steam Workshop has no submission for this finish. In Valve's catalog the finish has number 10018. The gloves were released on November 28, 2016, with the Glove Case, and the second source was the Operation Hydra Case of 2017.

Pattern and how it varies

Copies differ, but the spread is small and falls on the palm side. The pattern index shifts how the texture is laid over the palm. The finish has no named rare patterns and no premium for them: some pattern guides record the spread as existing, while others state outright that there are no special variations. So listings are compared by float and by how the palm looks.

What to check before buying

The choice of a particular pair of ★ Sport Gloves | Superconductor rests on these points:

• float: the 0.15 to 0.38 band holds both neat and visibly worn pairs;

• the palm: the artwork shifts slightly from copy to copy, so pairs are best compared by photos of the palm;

• the wear in the listing title: neighboring wears differ in price several times over.

The wear of the ★ Sport Gloves | Superconductor is stretched from 0.15 to 0.38, and this shows on inspection.

What the ★ Sport Gloves | Superconductor cost in Field-Tested

Factory New costs 5.60 times as much: the finish's scale starts at 0.06, which leaves the top wear a band of 0.06 to 0.07. Minimal Wear costs 1.44 times as much, Well-Worn is cheaper by 1.33 times, and Battle-Scarred by 2.03 times.

Among Sport Gloves in this wear, Superconductor costs more than almost all. Only Pandora's Box and Hedge Maze stand higher, at about twice the price. Arid and Ultra Violent are almost half the price, and the cheapest, Bronze Morph and Creme Pinstripe, are about twenty times lower.
