The ★ StatTrak™ Bowie Knife without a skin is the Bowie knife with a kill counter in CS2, with no skin at all: the listing reads "Not Painted". Covert rank, with the ★ mark. The item has no wear tier, no float and no pattern.
What the ★ StatTrak™ Bowie Knife looks like
The blade is wide, with a downturned point; a row of large teeth runs along the spine, and the flat is dark on top and light toward the edge. The guard is steel, with curved ends.
The handle is olive green, with two rivets and a steel cap at the butt. There is no skin: the dark steel and the green handle are the model itself.
How the plain ★ StatTrak™ Bowie Knife differs from a skinned one
A Bowie knife does not always carry a skin, and without one the listing looks like this:
- there is no wear tier, so neither wear nor float is named;
- there is no artwork or pattern, so only the model and the counter set the price;
- a name tag is allowed, and the name remains on the blade;
- stickers do not attach to this knife.
Before buying, the counter reading is the one thing left to check.
What the ★ StatTrak™ Bowie Knife costs
Among the Bowie knife's skins, the counter version sits above the middle by starting price: nineteen skins cost less, fifteen more. Below it are Crimson Web (a quarter cheaper), Tiger Tooth (a ninth cheaper) and Case Hardened (a few percent cheaper).
Above it are Marble Fade (a ninth more), Slaughter (more than a quarter more) and Gamma Doppler Phase 1 (more than a third more). The top of the ladder is Doppler: Sapphire costs nearly four times as much, Ruby more than five times, Black Pearl more than seven.
The plain ★ StatTrak™ Bowie Knife
The normal ★ Bowie Knife without a skin is a separate item with its own page. It is cheaper than the counter version by about two fifths. Only one thing separates the two listings: whether you want a kill counter.
Getting the ★ StatTrak™ Bowie Knife
The Bowie knife with a counter drops from the same single case as the normal one, the Operation Wildfire Case. Bare steel shares the rare special item pool with the skins there, and an opening yields it at random.
The trade-up contract is another route: it needs five Covert StatTrak™ skins, and they cannot be mixed with normal ones. The model and skin that come out cannot be chosen beforehand, so it is simpler to buy the lot you want ready-made on LIS-SKINS.
Who it suits
The ★ StatTrak™ Bowie Knife without a skin fits if:
- you want a large knife with a counter but no artwork on the blade;
- you like dark steel paired with an olive handle;
- you do not want to spend on Doppler and Tiger Tooth for this model.
