Description

Field-Tested (FT) is the last wear of the finish for the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Slaughter. The float scale here runs from 0.01 to 0.26, which is why there are only three wears, and the upper bound is cut off at a ceiling of 0.26. The knife sits in Covert rank, with the ★ mark, and arrives with a working StatTrak kill counter. The Operation Breakout Weapon Case is where it drops in CS2.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Slaughter looks like in Field-Tested

The base is a deep red, with dark zebra stripes across the metal. The handles are black, with a red inset along each half, and the latch is red. In Valve's description the zebra paint is aluminum and chrome with differing reflectivity, under a tomato-red lacquer.

Field-Tested is the most visible wear of the finish: from 0.15 to 0.26 the marks on the lacquer and the edge are already visible. Wear is fixed at the drop and does not change later.

What to check before buying

What changes from listing to listing on the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Slaughter:

  • float: the 0.15 to 0.26 band is tight, and the extreme listings differ only in the number;

  • the number on the kill counter: the buyer receives it as it stands;

  • name on the knife: a name tag is permitted.

Knives carry no stickers.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Slaughter costs in Field-Tested

This is the lowest wear of the finish: Factory New costs 1.16 times as much, and Minimal Wear is almost level. A copy with StatTrak costs about an eighth more than the regular version.

Among eighteen Covert StatTrak butterfly knives priced in this wear, Slaughter takes the top line: all seventeen others are cheaper. Nearest to it are Case Hardened (lower by about a quarter), Blue Steel, Autotronic and Crimson Web. At the very bottom of the row are Safari Mesh, Boreal Forest and Forest DDPAT.

Getting the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Slaughter

The StatTrak version drops from the Operation Breakout Weapon Case along with the regular one. A craft assembles it from five Covert skins, and all five must be StatTrak. You cannot assign the model or the finish: from the collections of the inputs, the system takes a random item with the ★ mark.

StatTrak and Souvenir

If the counter is not wanted, take the regular version of the finish: it is a separate item with its own page. There are no Souvenir knives. The counter cannot be reset, and the StatTrak Swap Tool only swaps the readings of two items of the same type.

Who this wear suits

Buying the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Slaughter in Field-Tested is worth it when:

  • you want a red butterfly knife with a counter, and the upper wears of the finish cost noticeably more;

  • marks on the lacquer and the edge do not matter for a CS2 loadout built on red and black;

  • the difference between listings comes down to float, and price decides more than the number on the scale.
