The ★ StatTrak™ Falchion Knife is the Falchion with a kill counter and no skin. With no paint on it, the lot description says "Not Painted". Covert rank, with the ★ mark. The item has no wear, float or pattern, and copies differ only by the number on the counter.
What the ★ StatTrak™ Falchion Knife looks like
The Falchion's blade curves like a sickle: the back rises to a thin point, while the belly is wide at the edge. The steel is bare and unpatterned, and the highlight on the blade shifts softly from light to dark.
At the base of the blade sit dark steel cheeks with the pivot screw, followed by a black insert with a fine woven texture. Toward the butt the handle bends downward and ends in a steel insert. The counter version looks the same as the plain knife.
How the plain ★ StatTrak™ Falchion Knife differs from a skinned one
A skinned knife is chosen by wear and pattern. Here both criteria drop out, and the lot has fewer points to compare:
- there is no wear, and no float band is listed;
- there is no pattern, so lots differ neither in drawing nor in shade;
- you can add a name tag, but there are no stickers;
- the kill counter is the only thing left to compare.
The choice comes down to whether you want the counter. Every other parameter is the same across lots.
What the ★ StatTrak™ Falchion Knife costs
By starting price, the ★ StatTrak™ Falchion Knife sits above nineteen of the model's skins and below fourteen. Its nearest neighbors beneath it are Tiger Tooth (1.18 times cheaper), Case Hardened (1.28 times) and Blue Steel (1.42 times).
Above it stand Marble Fade (7 percent more), Slaughter (15 percent) and Gamma Doppler Phase 3, which costs 1.26 times as much. The top of the line is Doppler and Gamma Doppler in their gem versions: Sapphire costs 3.3 times as much, Emerald 3.5 times, and Ruby almost five times.
StatTrak and the normal version
The normal Falchion Knife has its own page as a separate listing. The counter tallies kills made with this exact knife, never resets and moves to the new owner with the number it has reached. The counter version costs about 1.6 times the normal one.
Getting the ★ StatTrak™ Falchion Knife
The ★ StatTrak™ Falchion Knife drops from a single case, the Falchion Case. The knife sits in the same rare special item pool as the model's skins, so it comes up at random: you cannot choose whether bare steel or a skin drops.
The second route is a contract of five Covert StatTrak skins from one collection. Normal and StatTrak skins cannot be mixed in it, and the contract itself assigns the model that comes out.
Who it suits
Buying the ★ StatTrak™ Falchion Knife on LIS-SKINS makes sense when:
- you want a curved blade and a kill counter, and have no use for a pattern on the steel;
- you would rather not deal with floats and phases, which this item does not have;
- paying three to five times more for Doppler gems is not part of the plan.
