The ★ StatTrak™ Gut Knife is a knife with a hook on the spine, a kill counter and no skin. In CS2 such a lot is described as "Not Painted". Covert rank, with the ★ mark. Wear, float and pattern do not apply to it: all copies are identical apart from the counter reading.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Gut Knife looks like

The blade is a single piece with a wide belly. Nearer the point, a curved hook sits on the spine. The steel is bare, with dark swirls and small irregularities on the blade: this is how the model itself is finished, and there is no pattern on it.

The handle is smooth and reddish-brown, with three rivets and a lanyard ring at the butt. Outwardly the counter version is the same as the plain one.

How the plain ★ StatTrak™ Gut Knife differs from a skinned one

On a skinned knife the buyer checks wear and pattern. On an unpainted one neither is needed:

• there is no wear, and the lot lists no float band;


• there is no pattern, so copies differ neither in drawing nor in shade;


• a name tag is available, but there are no stickers;


• there is one difference: the number on the counter.

So lots are compared on price and on whether you want the counter.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Gut Knife costs

Among the model's skins, the ★ StatTrak™ Gut Knife by starting price sits above nineteen and below fifteen. Beneath it stand Case Hardened (almost level), Tiger Tooth (1.03 times cheaper) and Autotronic (1.16 times).

Above it come Slaughter (8 percent more), Marble Fade (9 percent) and Fade (18 percent). The top of the line is taken by gems: Gamma Doppler Emerald costs almost four times as much, Doppler Ruby almost five, and Doppler Black Pearl almost six.

StatTrak and the normal version

There is a paired listing, the normal Gut Knife, on its own page. The counter tallies kills made with this exact knife, the reading never resets and goes to the new owner as it stands. The counter version costs about three quarters more than the normal one.

Getting the ★ StatTrak™ Gut Knife

The ★ StatTrak™ Gut Knife drops from eleven cases. Among them are the eSports 2013 Winter Case, the Winter Offensive Weapon Case, the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case and the eSports 2014 Summer Case. In each it sits in the rare special item pool, so the drop is random.
