Description

This is the ★ StatTrak™ Karambit | Doppler Ruby in Factory New, with the scarlet lacquer nowhere broken by wear. The rank is Covert, carrying a ★. Of the three Doppler gems only Ruby is red from end to end. The finish's scale stops at 0.08, so a single neighboring condition exists, Minimal Wear.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Karambit | Doppler Ruby looks like in Factory New

Red lacquer covers the whole flat of the crescent and the finger ring, leaving the gray-green grooved handle alone. The marble swirls are large, built from pink and dark cherry patches, and the steel lightens toward the tip. White highlights pick out the top edge.

The band here is 0.00 to 0.07. Wear on this model gathers at the tip, the ring and the inner curve, exposing pale metal. Factory New leaves all three untouched and the marble pattern whole.

Phase and pattern

The phase sits in the item name, so Ruby is taken deliberately in CS2. Seven variants exist in all: Phases 1 through 4 and three gems. Emerald is not among them — the green gem belongs to Gamma Doppler alone. Ruby yields to Black Pearl in rarity, holding the series' top on price.

The pattern index moves the texture overlay across the red base, which sets copies apart. Sources disagree on whether a lucky index inside Ruby carries a premium, so do not count on it.

Where the ★ StatTrak™ Karambit | Doppler Ruby came from

Doppler has no Workshop author behind it: Valve drew it in house, under catalog number 415. On the karambit the finish appeared on January 8, 2015 in the Full Spectrum update, together with the first Chroma case. It was adjusted later: a note dated May 24, 2024 announced a change to Doppler's look in CS2.

What to check before buying

These are what set one copy apart from another:

  • the counter reading, printed in the listing, which keeps climbing and cannot be zeroed;

  • the phase, since Phase 2 produces pink copies that pass for Ruby in a thumbnail;

  • the float, whose top here is 0.07, worth fixing before paying;

  • an applied name, as the knife takes a name tag and another owner's inscription stays.

A spread of 0.00 to 0.07 is too small to make float-hunting worthwhile.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Karambit | Doppler Ruby costs in Factory New

The counter costs only a few percent here: the StatTrak version starts about seven percent above the plain knife. Among the karambit's Covert StatTrak finishes Ruby is second, with only Karambit | Doppler Black Pearl above. Karambit | Gamma Doppler Emerald follows directly below. Then comes a gap, with Case Hardened and Doppler Sapphire more than one and a half times cheaper.

Minimal Wear, the second condition, receives the top hundredth, 0.07 to 0.08; everything under it is Factory New.

Getting the ★ StatTrak™ Karambit | Doppler Ruby

Three Chroma cases give the knife up: the Chroma Case and its two sequels. Neither the phase nor the counter is chosen when a case is opened.

That leaves the craft. Five Covert skins from one collection turn into a random rare special item, and a counter on the output needs one on each of the five inputs.

StatTrak and the plain version

The same gem is released without a counter, and that version sits separately at a lower price. The finish has no Souvenir edition.

Who this wear suits

Buy the knife in this condition if:

  • the blade has to be red, and neither pearl nor green will do;

  • red and black are already in the loadout, and the ring falls into the same tone;

  • the tip and the inner curve must be clean, as Minimal Wear takes those first.
