The ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet, often called simply the M9, is a bayonet with a kill counter and no skin. The lot is marked "Not Painted". Covert rank, with the ★ mark. It has no wear, float or pattern, and only the counter changes from lot to lot.
What the ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet looks like
The blade is long, with a sharp tip and a thin groove down the flat. The spine carries a row of saw teeth, and an oval hole is cut through the blade near the heel. Bare steel, light along the edge and darker toward the back.
The crossguard holds the barrel ring, and the black handle is ribbed with rings along its whole length. The knife gets its color from the steel and the dark handle. The counter does not touch the look.
How the plain ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet differs from a skinned one
A skinned knife is sorted by wear and pattern, but a bayonet with no skin gives you nothing to sort by:
- there is no wear to grade, and no float band is shown;
- there is no pattern, so two bayonets cannot be told apart by color or drawing;
- a name tag can be added, but stickers are not an option;
- the counter is all that remains.
There is one choice to make: normal or with a counter.
What the ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet costs
By starting price, the ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet sits above twenty of the model's skins and below fourteen. The nearest beneath it are Slaughter (1.07 times cheaper), Tiger Tooth (1.09 times) and Autotronic (1.34 times).
Above it stand Marble Fade (4 percent more), Fade (26 percent) and Doppler Phase 1 (30 percent). The top of the line is gems: Gamma Doppler Emerald costs 8.7 times as much, and Doppler Black Pearl and Ruby almost eleven times.
StatTrak and the normal version
The normal M9 Bayonet is sold separately, on its own page. The counter tallies kills made with this exact bayonet, never resets and passes to the new owner as it stands. On this model the two versions cost the same: the difference is within one percent.
Getting the ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet
The ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet drops from eleven cases of the older series, for example CS:GO Weapon Case 3, the eSports 2014 Summer Case and the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. In all of them it sits in the rare special item pool, and the drop is random.
The other way is a contract of five Covert StatTrak skins from one collection. Which knife comes out of it is decided by none of the parties to the trade.
Who it suits
Buying the ★ StatTrak™ M9 Bayonet on LIS-SKINS makes sense when:
- you want a long bayonet with a saw spine and a kill counter;
- you want the counter without a surcharge, since both versions cost the same;
- a pattern is not needed, and Doppler gems eleven times pricier are of no interest.
