Description

The ★ Talon Knife | Doppler Phase 3 (Factory New) is a dark blue Doppler phase on the CS2 Talon Knife, with a light handle. It is Covert rank, with the ★ mark, and the phase comes from the Prisma Case and the Prisma 2 Case. The float of the finish ends at 0.08, so there are two wears. Factory New (FN) fits into 0.00 to 0.07, and Minimal Wear (MW) takes the rest.

What the ★ Talon Knife | Doppler Phase 3 looks like in Factory New

The blade is deep blue with a violet tint, and lighter smoky patches spread across it. The spine, with its saw and three round holes, stays dark. The handle is ivory-colored, set on brass rivets, and the ring at the butt is blue and light blue to match the blade.

This wear of the ★ Talon Knife | Doppler Phase 3 has a float of 0.00 to 0.07. The tip of the talon and the saw teeth lighten first, and on dark blue that is noticeable at once. In Factory New the lacquer is intact on the teeth and on the edges of the holes. The wear of a copy is recorded at the moment of the drop.

Phase and pattern

On Doppler the phase is part of the item name: you choose Phase 3 in the listing itself. In the game data the Talon Knife has seven named phases: Phases 1 to 4 and three gems, Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl. The gems are separate items and cost many times more than any regular phase.

The artwork of this finish varies between copies: Valve's data names the phases as separate variants. How a particular copy looks is judged by the listing image, not by the name.

What to check before buying

Before paying for the ★ Talon Knife | Doppler Phase 3, it is worth checking:

  • the phase in the listing name: Phase 3 and the gems are sold as separate items;

  • the listing image: the color and pattern of the blade are checked against it, not against the name;

  • an applied name: a name tag on the Talon Knife is possible, but stickers cannot be attached to the knife;

  • the edition: a StatTrak knife is a separate item;

  • float: there is nothing to choose by it, because 0.00 to 0.07 is too short, and the differences between copies come from the pattern.

What the ★ Talon Knife | Doppler Phase 3 costs in Factory New

Minimal Wear costs a fifth more than the top wear. Among the Talon Knife's regular phases, Phase 3 costs the same as Phase 1, Phase 4 is a few percent higher, and Phase 2 about an eighth.

Among Talon Knife finishes, Phase 3 sits in the middle of the lineup: eleven finishes cost less and nine cost more. Marble Fade is almost a third lower, and Tiger Tooth 1.7 times. The gems are far off: Doppler Ruby costs three and a half times as much, and Doppler Black Pearl almost four.

Getting the ★ Talon Knife | Doppler Phase 3

The Talon Knife drops from the Prisma Case and the Prisma 2 Case, and the phase is random at the opening. A contract of five Covert skins from one collection also gives a rare special item, but neither the model nor the phase is set there. A particular phase of the Talon Knife is bought as a ready-made listing.

Is there a StatTrak version

A StatTrak version of the ★ Talon Knife | Doppler Phase 3 exists in the game.

Who this wear suits

The ★ Talon Knife | Doppler Phase 3 in Factory New is a sensible buy when:

  • you want a blue Talon Knife, and the Doppler gems are out of reach;

  • your CS2 loadout is built on blue and light tones, and the ivory handle sits well with the blue blade;

  • Minimal Wear costs a fifth more, and the float gives no useful difference within 0.00 to 0.07.
