On the AK-47 | B the Monster, Factory New (FN) is bought for the gold: it lies on protruding metal and goes first in the lower wears. The float here runs from 0.00 to 0.07. It is Covert rank, and the finish belongs to the Overpass map collection and was never in ordinary cases.
What the AK-47 | B the Monster looks like in Factory New
The AK is painted throughout, even the barrel and metal. The barrel is pale turquoise, the front sight lilac, and the gas tube, handguard clips and bottom of the magazine are made gold. The handguard is mint-turquoise with lilac and yellow graffiti letters, the receiver lilac, the stock bright pink with gold figures, the grip pink with yellow, and the magazine mint-white.
The main element is a large beige-pink face with bulging eyes and a wide toothy mouth on the right side of the receiver. Nearer the stock is a second head, yellow. The letters on the handguard do not form a word.
The gold lies on the most protruding parts, and in the lower wears it is the gold that wears off first. That means the handguard clips, the gas tube, the base of the magazine. Next the edge of the receiver cover, the handguard ridges and the corners of the stock turn lighter, while the face on the flat side holds longest. In Factory New the metal is untouched everywhere, and the gold carries all the contrast against the pastel body. Between 0.00 and 0.07 the look of the AK-47 | B the Monster does not change.
Where the AK-47 | B the Monster came from
Valve drew the finish itself: no Steam Workshop submission can be found for it. In the finish catalog the item is number 142.
The Overpass 2024 Collection arrived in the game on October 2, 2024. Sets of this kind are built around a map and never go into cases. Copies come from tournament Souvenir packages, and for Overpass that is the package from the Budapest tournament in 2025.
What to check before buying
When choosing an AK-47 | B the Monster listing, this matters:
- the float: within 0.00 to 0.07 the difference is indistinguishable;
- the state of the gold on the handguard clips and the gas tube: in the clean wear it is even;
- stickers on the body of the AK-47 | B the Monster and a rename, if there is one.
There is no pattern variance on the AK-47 | B the Monster: what one listing shows, the others show too. The finish's full scale reaches 0.80, and below this wear there are all four of the others.
What the AK-47 | B the Monster costs in Factory New
The other wears relative to this one:
- Minimal Wear is about two and a half times cheaper;
- Field-Tested is about five times cheaper;
- Well-Worn is about five times cheaper;
- Battle-Scarred is about eight times cheaper.
The two middle rows cost almost the same: the motley base hides wear, and there is little visible difference between those wears. At the top people pay for untouched gold, not for the body.
There are twenty-four Covert AKs with a price in this wear, and the B the Monster is fifteenth of them from the bottom. The AK-47 | Jaguar costs about a tenth more, the AK-47 | Asiimov is about an eighth cheaper, and the AK-47 | Aphrodite a third. Cheapest in the rank is the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis, and the most expensive is the AK-47 | Wild Lotus.
Getting the AK-47 | B the Monster
Map collections are not put into cases, so the finish has no ordinary case at all. You also get the AK-47 | B the Monster by contract: ten skins one rank below from one set. The collection has a single skin of Covert rank, so the result of the trade-up is known in advance.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the AK-47 | B the Monster does not exist, but a Souvenir release does.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | B the Monster
The base is motley and noisy: on a mint-pink body a calm sticker vanishes, and a bright one fights the face. There is not much flat field: the magazine and the stock. Better to leave the gold open: in Factory New the untouched metal is exactly what the premium pays for.
Who this wear suits
Buy the AK-47 | B the Monster in this wear if one of these fits:
- you want an even shine on the gold of the metal, which goes first below this wear;
- the AK is going into a CS2 display and up-close inspection;
- you're putting together a pastel set for the Terrorist side in CS2.
For matches the premium is debatable: the face reads the same at any float. The whole point of the top wear is in the gold and the clean edge of the receiver cover.
