This is the AK-47 | B the Monster in Minimal Wear (MW). The price falls hardest at this step: the factory-fresh copy asks two and a half times as much. The wear scale of the AK-47 | B the Monster in this wear runs from 0.07 to 0.15. It is Covert rank, and the finish belongs to the Overpass map collection.
What the AK-47 | B the Monster looks like in Minimal Wear
The small details are split into separate colors: the magazine is mint-white with a gold bottom, the grip pink with yellow, the barrel pale turquoise, the front sight lilac. The handguard is mint-turquoise with lilac, the receiver lilac, the stock bright pink with gold figures, and the gas tube and handguard clips are painted brass.
On the right side of the receiver sits a beige-pink face with bulging eyes and a toothy mouth, and nearer the stock a second head is drawn, yellow. Yellow graffiti letters run along the handguard: the letters themselves can be made out, but they do not form a word. Round gold badges are scattered nearby.
Wear starts with the gold, because it lies on the most protruding parts. In the 0.07 to 0.15 band the brass on the handguard clips and the gas tube is still even. That is what sets this wear apart from the lower ones. The edge of the receiver cover turns slightly lighter toward the top of the band, while the faces sit on flat surfaces.
Where the AK-47 | B the Monster came from
The AK-47 | B the Monster has no Workshop submission: the finish was drawn inside Valve. The AK-47 | B the Monster is listed in the Overpass 2024 Collection, released on October 2, 2024. The finish number in the Valve catalog is 142. Valve names the subject outright: it is the graffiti from the monster tunnel on the map.
What to check before buying
Choosing a particular AK-47 | B the Monster comes down to these points:
- the state of the gold on the handguard clips and the gas tube;
- the float: nearer 0.15 the edge of the cover shows light;
- the stickers and name tag the AK-47 | B the Monster inherited from its previous owner.
The pattern index changes nothing on the AK-47 | B the Monster. The 0.07 to 0.15 spread on the AK-47 | B the Monster is so small that choosing by float is pointless. The finish's scale runs up to 0.80, and this wear takes about a tenth of it.
What the AK-47 | B the Monster costs in Minimal Wear
The other four wears relative to this one:
- Factory New runs to about two and a half times the price;
- Field-Tested and Well-Worn sell for about half as much;
- Battle-Scarred sells for about a third as much.
The two middle wears cost almost the same, so the finish has three price steps. Minimal Wear sits between the top and the middle, the premium over the middle wears is about twofold here, and what people pay for is untouched brass.
Among Covert AKs with a price in this wear, the finish is fifteenth out of twenty-four from the bottom. The AK-47 | Fuel Injector costs about a quarter more, and the AK-47 | Bloodsport is about a tenth cheaper. Below come the AK-47 | Neon Revolution and the AK-47 | Jaguar, the AK-47 | Aphrodite is cheapest of all, and the AK-47 | Wild Lotus costs the most.
Getting the AK-47 | B the Monster
The finish has no ordinary case: map collections arrive as tournament Souvenir packages, and for Overpass such a package was handed out at the Budapest tournament in 2025.
The route to the AK-47 | B the Monster through a trade-up is this: ten skins one rank below from the set. The collection has a single item of Covert rank, so the result is predetermined. Map collections do not go above Covert: knives are crafted from case contents.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AK-47 | B the Monster has no StatTrak version, but a Souvenir release exists.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | B the Monster
The body is already overloaded with color, so a craft either picks up the street theme or gets lost. Better not to cover the gold: a sticker on top takes away what you paid extra for. Of the flat areas, the stock and the spine of the magazine are free.
Who this wear suits
Buying the AK-47 | B the Monster in Minimal Wear makes sense for these purposes:
- you want an even shine on the brass and see no reason to pay two and a half times as much for the top of the scale;
- the AK is going into CS2 matches and into the inventory alike;
- you're putting together a pastel set for the Terrorist side.
The motley base hides scuffs: from a distance this wear is indistinguishable from the two below it, and the difference shows only on the gold.
