AK-47 | Blue Laminate (Factory New)

The AK-47 | Blue Laminate in Factory New (FN) is a clean look with no scuffs, and it also has a lower float limit. This wear is assigned a float of 0.02 to 0.07. The rank is Restricted, and the rifle comes from The eSports 2013 Winter Collection.

What the AK-47 | Blue Laminate looks like in Factory New

The finish plays two materials against each other. The metal stays gray and smooth: the receiver, barrel and magazine carry no pattern. The wooden parts, the handguard, grip and stock, are covered in blue laminate, with the layers of wood visible as rings and the blue turning brown along the edges. Valve sums up the finish in a single line: the rifle was given a laminate stock.

The skin's minimum float is 0.02 and its ceiling is 0.40, so there is no Battle-Scarred, and Well-Worn fits into a stretch from 0.38 to 0.40. In this wear the AK-47 | Blue Laminate is a short stretch from 0.02 to 0.07, so chasing a number gets you nowhere. The band takes 0.05 of the finish's 0.38 scale, about an eighth.

What to check before buying

When choosing the AK-47 | Blue Laminate, pay attention to the following:

• float: the skin has no values below 0.02, so the 0.02 to 0.07 band starts right at the best copies;

• the blue wood on the handguard, grip and stock, the only colored part of the finish;

• the name tag and stickers this AK-47 already carries.

Choosing by artwork does not exist here as such.

What the AK-47 | Blue Laminate costs in Factory New

Next to Factory New, the lower wears cost less:

• Minimal Wear by about 1.6 times;

• Field-Tested by about 1.7 times;

• Well-Worn by about 12%.

Well-Worn costs more than Minimal Wear and Field-Tested, because its band is only 0.02 of the scale, from 0.38 to 0.40. Among Restricted AK-47s in Factory New, the finish stands in the middle of a row of nine: five skins are cheaper and three are dearer. The nearest one below is AK-47 | Slate.

Getting the AK-47 | Blue Laminate

The rifle drops from the eSports 2013 Winter Case, and no other case holds this finish.

The AK-47 | Blue Laminate comes out of a contract fed ten skins one rank below within this collection. The Restricted rank itself works as an input: ten Restricted skins return one Classified.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AK-47 | Blue Laminate has a StatTrak version. No souvenir packages were issued for this finish, as those were made only for tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from your inventory.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Blue Laminate

The gray metal of the receiver and magazine leaves a large smooth surface where a sticker reads without interference. The blue wood, with its rings, is busy already, so stickers read worse there than on plain metal. Warm colors contrast with the blue, while cool ones merge into it.

Who this wear suits

Factory New suits you when these points apply:

• you want an AK-47 for CS2 with clean gray metal and blue wood;

• the 0.02 to 0.07 band matters to you, and scuffs on a smooth surface are unwelcome;

• you want the cleanest body in CS2, and a price gap to Minimal Wear of about 1.6 times does not bother you.
