Well-Worn (WW) is the fourth of five wears on the AK-47 | Crane Flight, a white rifle with gold hardware and cranes. This wear is allotted a float band of 0.38–0.45, a mere 7 percent of the finish's scale. Classified rank, from The Dead Hand Collection.
What the AK-47 | Crane Flight looks like in Well-Worn
The base is milky white, and cranes run across the handguard and receiver in thin graphite lines. Gold covers the front sight, the gas block bracket and the trigger guard. There is a red circle on the stock, the barrel is dark and the grip is gray. The magazine is white with a wing design. Valve describes the base as black and white, and the crane and the gold accents as hand-drawn.
In Well-Worn the white is already gray in places, the gold has dulled on the high points, and the crane lines read with breaks. The band is tight, and the copies at its two ends differ only by the number.
Where the AK-47 | Crane Flight came from
The finish's author is Aresad. His Steam Workshop submission was called "AK-47 | Crane Flight V3" and is dated May 1, 2024. By his account, the design draws on Japanese legend: the crane stands for immortality, prosperity, happiness and love, and whoever folds a thousand paper cranes has a wish granted. The wood and some of the parts are coated in glossy metallic paint, and the drawing itself was made by GhostRider.
Valve released The Dead Hand Collection on March 11, 2026: seventeen finishes by community authors and twenty-two new glove models. The skin's number in Valve's catalog is 1425.
What to check before buying
Run through these points before paying for the rifle:
- Float: at 0.38 the base is lighter, and by 0.45 there is noticeably more gray;
- The gold on the front sight, the bracket and the guard, which leaves the high points first;
- Stickers and a name tag left on this particular copy.
Copies differ only in wear, and they all share one artwork.
What the AK-47 | Crane Flight costs in Well-Worn
The other wears, relative to this one:
- Factory New costs almost five times more;
- Minimal Wear is more than twice the price;
- Field-Tested costs about a quarter more;
- Battle-Scarred costs about a quarter less.
The Well-Worn band is narrow, just 0.07 of the scale, and the neighboring wears sit about a quarter away on either side. The sharp jump starts higher up: from Field-Tested to Minimal Wear the price nearly doubles.
Among Classified AK-47s in Well-Worn, this skin costs more than five others. The closest ones below it, Nouveau Rouge, Phantom Disruptor and The Outsiders, go for about half as much. The rest of the Classified AK-47s sit above, with Hydroponic at the top of the rank.
Getting the AK-47 | Crane Flight
Its source is the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal. No other terminal or case holds this finish.
A trade-up works too: ten skins one step down, all from one collection. The odds are one in three, because The Dead Hand Collection has three Classified skins. The skin also works as an input itself: ten Classified skins return one Covert, either the AWP | Queen's Gambit or the Glock-18 | Fully Tuned.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is a StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Crane Flight. No souvenir packages were made for this finish, since those were built only for the map tournament collections. A souvenir copy can still be assembled by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from your inventory. So a lone souvenir copy can exist even where no package ever did.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Crane Flight
The light body gives a clean background to graphite and colored stickers. White ones disappear against the base, and gold ones fight the gilded hardware. The red circle on the stock already sets the accent, so a bright sticker beside it is best avoided: in CS2 it would draw the eye to itself.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn on the AK-47 | Crane Flight makes sense in three cases:
- you want the crane design for about a fifth less than Field-Tested;
- the 0.38–0.45 band is acceptable, and there is no reason to hunt for a number inside it;
- a CS2 sticker craft calls for a light body with gold hardware.
If the gold has to keep its shine, look at Minimal Wear: it costs more than twice as much.
