AK-47 | Elite Build (Battle-Scarred)

The AK-47 | Elite Build in Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most worn version of the black rifle with golden trim. Its float band is 0.45 to 1.00, which is 55% of the skin's float scale, and that scale stays open all the way to 1.00. It is a Mil-Spec skin that comes out of the Chroma 2 Case.

What the AK-47 | Elite Build looks like in Battle-Scarred

The rifle's color is graphite black, with dark gray patches on the top cover. The gold details are the trim along the edges, the emblem on the gas tube and the "AK" logo. An orange inscription shows on the magazine. The metal of the barrel and gas block stays exposed.

Listings of the AK-47 | Elite Build within 0.45 to 1.00 differ noticeably in looks. The band covers more than half of the skin's float scale, and the gold edges near the top of the band are rubbed away more than near the bottom.

Where the AK-47 | Elite Build came from

The skin came out on April 15, 2015, with the Chroma 2 Case, and has been part of the collection since release. M1nD, a Steam Workshop artist, created it, and Valve's catalog number for it is 422.

What to check before buying

Picking an AK-47 | Elite Build comes down to a few checks:

• float: the 0.45 to 1.00 band holds listings with very different wear;

• stickers and a name tag left on the rifle;

• version: regular or StatTrak.

The artwork on the AK-47 | Elite Build is the same on every copy, so there is no particular one to hunt for.

What the AK-47 | Elite Build costs in Battle-Scarred

This is the cheapest wear of the skin, level with Well-Worn. Field-Tested costs 1.2 times as much, Minimal Wear 2.1 times, Factory New nearly five times.

Among the six Mil-Spec AK-47 skins priced in this wear, this one is third from the bottom. The AK-47 | Wintergreen and the AK-47 | Uncharted are two and a half to three times cheaper. The AK-47 | Steel Delta and the AK-47 | Crossfade are a quarter more expensive, and the AK-47 | Black Laminate costs nearly twenty-five times as much.

Getting the AK-47 | Elite Build

The skin has a single case, the Chroma 2 Case, and a dropped copy comes from there. No other case holds it.

A contract cannot produce the rifle: there is no rank below Mil-Spec in the collection. As a contract input it does fine. Ten Mil-Spec skins of the set become one Restricted skin, and the possible results include the AWP | Worm God and the MAG-7 | Heat.

StatTrak and Souvenir

StatTrak copies of the AK-47 | Elite Build exist as well. Souvenir copies turn up as well, although no package was ever issued for this skin, because those existed only for tournament map collections. They are assembled through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which hangs gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary inventory skin.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Elite Build

A black body gains from bright stickers: red, white and orange ones read at once. The trim is already largely worn away, so a build here rests on the stickers themselves rather than on echoing the gold.

Who this wear suits

Battle-Scarred is worth taking for the AK-47 | Elite Build when:

• you want this skin at a price five times below Factory New;

• wear on the artwork does not bother you and you want a dark color, for CS2;

• you are buying it as an input for a Restricted contract.
