The AK-47 | Elite Build in Well-Worn (WW) is a dark rifle whose golden trim has begun to show wear along the edges. The band for this wear runs from 0.38 to 0.45 and takes up 7% of the skin's float scale, which goes to 1.00. The skin is Mil-Spec, and its case is the Chroma 2 Case.
What the AK-47 | Elite Build looks like in Well-Worn
Strictly speaking, the graphite-black body carries no picture: everything rests on the thin gold-orange trim and the small markings. The winged emblem on the gas tube, the "AK" logo and the fine text are gold, and the magazine, black with an olive cast, carries an orange inscription. The barrel and gas block are bare dark metal.
The trim and the lettering sit on the edges, so in Well-Worn they suffer the most, while the black surfaces stay nearly as they were. Across the 0.38 to 0.45 band the skin looks the same.
Where the AK-47 | Elite Build came from
The artist M1nD posted the skin to the Steam Workshop, and the submission is dated January 2, 2015. He wrote that other items in the same line should follow. The AK-47 | Elite Build reached the game on April 15, 2015, and Valve's catalog lists it under number 422.
What to check before buying
What to confirm before paying for the AK-47 | Elite Build:
- float: the narrow 0.38 to 0.45 band leaves almost no choice;
- a name tag and stickers from the previous owner, if they are still on the weapon;
- the listing version: with StatTrak or without.
Hunting for the AK-47 | Elite Build by pattern index makes no sense: the artwork never changes.
What the AK-47 | Elite Build costs in Well-Worn
Battle-Scarred costs the same as Well-Worn. Field-Tested is a fifth higher, Minimal Wear twice as much, Factory New nearly five times as much.
In a row of seven Mil-Spec AK-47 skins, this one in Well-Worn is third from the bottom. The AK-47 | Uncharted and the AK-47 | Wintergreen cost half as much. The AK-47 | Steel Delta is a quarter more and the AK-47 | Crossfade one and a half times as much. The AK-47 | Black Laminate costs nearly twenty-five times as much.
Getting the AK-47 | Elite Build
In the Chroma 2 Case this skin is one of the set's items; no other case has it. The key to open the case is bought separately.
A trade-up cannot give you this rifle, because Mil-Spec is the lowest rank in the collection. It is useful as a contract input: ten Mil-Spec skins from the set return one Restricted skin, for example the CZ75-Auto | Pole Position.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AK-47 | Elite Build comes with StatTrak too. As for Souvenir, copies exist, yet no package was released for this skin, since packages were made only for tournament map collections. The Souvenir-O-Matic produces them: it adds gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular skin from the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Elite Build
The black base helps: any colored sticker shows on it. The gold on the edges is already touched by wear at this grade, so gold stickers do not so much echo the trim as stand out against the background. Expensive builds are better made on cleaner wears.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn makes sense for the AK-47 | Elite Build if:
- you want an inexpensive dark AK for CS2 and do not care about the gold on the edges;
- you need the black body as a backdrop for bright stickers;
- the skin is being bought as an input for a Restricted contract.
