AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe (Battle-Scarred)

Battle-Scarred (BS) takes more than half of the AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe's scale: the stretch from 0.45 to 1.00 is 55% of the whole float range. The skin is Restricted, from the Bank Collection, and no case holds it. This is the bottom wear, and among Restricted AKs in this wear it is the bottom of the price row too: nothing is cheaper.

What the AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe looks like in Battle-Scarred

Almost black metal meets dark gray-brown wood with an open grain on the handguard and stock. The artwork lies on the wood alone: bright green lines paired with white, silvery ones run along the handguard, the upper handguard and the stock. The lines form leaves and curls and break off in places. The receiver and magazine are bare, with no pattern, which is why the color sits in the lines rather than in the body. Nothing is written on the weapon. Valve's description speaks of a stock of stained oak and thin white-and-green stripes.

The thin green lines on raised edges disappear first, and on worn copies the ornament reads in fragments. In Battle-Scarred this is the heaviest loss of lines of any wear: the wear arrived with the item and does not change afterward.

Where the AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe came from

Valve's staff artists drew the skin, which is why the Steam Workshop holds no entry for it. The Bank Collection opened in the game on May 1, 2014, and the AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe was there from day one. Valve's catalog numbers the finish 300.

What to check before buying

Before buying an AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe, look at:

• the float, anywhere in 0.45 to 1.00: the closer to 1.00, the fewer lines remain;

• how well the green lines survive on the handguard and the stock;

• traces of a previous owner: a name tag and stickers on this AK.

Copies in this wear can carry very different amounts of wear, since the stretch from 0.45 to 1.00 is wide. The artwork is the same on every copy, so sorting listings by pattern gains nothing.

What the AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe costs in Battle-Scarred

Factory New costs more than five times as much as Battle-Scarred, and Minimal Wear almost double. Field-Tested is a few percent higher, and Well-Worn is level.

Among eight Restricted AK-47 finishes in this wear, the Emerald Pinstripe is the cheapest. The nearest in price are AK-47 | Breakthrough and AK-47 | Midnight Laminate. After them come AK-47 | Safety Net, AK-47 | Slate and AK-47 | Rat Rod. The top of the row belongs to AK-47 | Orbit Mk01 and AK-47 | First Class.

Getting the AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe

No case contains the AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe. Only a trade-up contract remains: ten Mil-Spec skins go in for a chance at it. If all ten come from the Bank Collection, the result is known in advance, because it holds just one Restricted skin; a mix of collections splits the chance between the inputs' sets.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe has no StatTrak version, and no Souvenir packages were ever issued for the finish.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe

The receiver and magazine are bare, so a sticker sits on dark metal and reads well there. The wood with its green lines is a questionable spot: the ornament breaks up, and a sticker covers it in pieces. For a CS2 craft the receiver is the better choice.

Who this wear suits

Battle-Scarred is worth buying on the AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe if:

• you want a Restricted AK for CS2 at the bottom of the price range;

• the green ornament matters as a hint, not as a picture;

• the skin is going into a trade-up contract, where it has the lowest price in the row.
