AK-47 | Frontside Misty (Minimal Wear)

The AK-47 | Frontside Misty in Minimal Wear (MW) keeps the black body and turquoise outline of the factory version at a price several times lower. It is a Classified skin from The Shadow Collection, and the case that holds it is the Shadow Case.

What the AK-47 | Frontside Misty looks like in Minimal Wear

The base is black, with a white ornament of dense curls laid over it. Turquoise highlights run along the edges of the handguard, along the barrel, over the front sight and across the ribs of the magazine. On the receiver they gather into a tight design. In Valve's description the palette is bright arctic.

Minimal Wear shows only light wear: a thin pale scuff on the edges and corners where the turquoise meets the black. The large curls and the fill of the lines stay whole. The wear is confined to floats from 0.07 to 0.15, so listings look alike.

Where the AK-47 | Frontside Misty came from

The AK-47 | Frontside Misty did not come through the Workshop: Valve made it itself. The skin appeared in the game on September 17, 2015.

What to check before buying

Ahead of payment, a Frontside Misty listing gets checked on these points:

• float: the closer to 0.07, the more intact the outline on the edges; the closer to 0.15, the more visible the scuffs on the corners;


• the magazine ribs and the front sight, where the pale scuffing reads best;


• stickers from the previous owner and any name tag on the rifle.

Copies differ in wear only, since the artwork is shared by all of them.

What the AK-47 | Frontside Misty costs in Minimal Wear

The other wears relative to Minimal Wear:

• Factory New is about three and a half times pricier;


• Field-Tested is almost half the price;


• Well-Worn is almost half the price;


• Battle-Scarred is about 1.9 times cheaper.

One step down from Minimal Wear takes off almost half the price, and the three wears below it sit level with one another. The 0.07 to 0.15 band is about nine percent of the skin's float scale, which stretches from 0.02 to 0.87.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Frontside Misty

Light wear barely interferes with a craft: stickers sit on intact areas, and the scuffed edges stay out of the way. The black handguard and stock suit light and turquoise stickers, while the white curls swallow small graphics. For CS2, one or two large stickers are enough, since the ornament already fills the body.

Who this wear suits

Minimal Wear is a reasonable buy for the AK-47 | Frontside Misty when:

• you want a saturated turquoise AK for CS2 without the factory price;


• light scuffs on the edges do not bother you;


• you would rather leave room to go down a step: Field-Tested costs half as much and looks almost the same.
